I am writing to formally log my deep dissatisfaction regarding my recent 6-night stay at Swissôtel The Stamford. While the hotel’s location, panoramic views, and vegetarian breakfast options were excellent, the structural failures in room cleanliness and maintenance severely impacted my comfort and overall experience in this 5 star property.
I am bringing the following two critical issues to your immediate attention:
1. Unacceptable Room Cleanliness Upon Arrival : Upon checking into my room, I discovered a significant buildup of dust across the room furniture and the floor. I personally cleaned the surfaces myself just to settle in. I immediately called the front desk to request a room change due to this poor standard of hygiene, but I was flatly told that no other room choices or alternatives were available.
2. Faulty Air Conditioning and Neglected Maintenance: The room temperature was uncomfortably hot throughout my first night because the thermostat appeared locked, preventing the temperature from dropping below 21°C. When a maintenance technician finally arrived the following day, he pulled out an air filter that was completely clogged with thick dust—proving that routine maintenance and room inspections had been neglected prior to my arrival. While replacing the filter slightly improved the air circulation, the room never reached a comfortable temperature for the entirety of my 6-night stay.
Given the length of my stay and the discomfort I endured, I look forward to your prompt response detailing how your management team intends to address these service failures.

Booked a suite, and wasnt sure what was the upgrade to, a higher floor. I did ask if a suite is available to one facing the waterfront Gardens by the Bay, but was told suite location was fixed. Appreciate the cake amenity. As for the lounge, I had previously fed back that the wine selection is limited to 1 white and 1 red, and there is no change. Food is good and extensive though. The family corner is a nice addition for families.

Unfortunately, one of our parcels were left behind. Until now, your team has not updated the outcome of their investigation. We still do not know why Swissotel did not deliver our parcel to our room or asked us to collect it from the lobby. Our parcel arrived on 4 September 2026 in the morning. We checked out on 5 September 2026 morning to catch our flight to Brunei Darussalam. Instead of giving an explanation or apology for the oversight, Swissotel told us on 5 September 2026 afternoon that we should remove our parcel by 15 October 2026. Now we have the inconvenience and additional cost of arranging for our parcel to be delivered to an acquaintance who will only be visiting Brunei Darussalam Q2 2027.

We recently enjoyed a 3-day, 2-night stay at Swissôtel, and once again, the service was impeccable. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and I especially appreciated how responsive the Swiss Service team was whenever we had a request.
The pool was well maintained, and our room was clean, comfortable and very well kept. While some of the furniture was a little dated, strangely enough, that was also part of its charm—it gave the room a familiar, comfortable feel that made it feel a little like home.
I absolutely loved the view from our room on the 41st floor. The only slight downside was that there were outdoor concerts at the Esplanade on both nights of our stay. Despite being so high up, we could still hear the music when the room was quiet. It was noticeable, but it did not take away from an otherwise very comfortable stay.
Perhaps that says it best: there may be little imperfections here and there, but Swissôtel continues to be a place where we feel comfortable, well looked after and very much at home. We would happily return again.

Been given 3 different rooms because first room 5567 aircon not working even after 2 technician come to fix, the fo call to move us to room 5250(no apology at all) that smell wet dirty carpet, than finally another fo call to move us to 5264 which has normal condition for five star room. The 2nd FO staff offered us FREE BF as the compensation which WE REFUSED cause we didn’t book YOUR HOTEL for free BF but for smooth and comfy trip!
