The ability to say please and thank you by your reception staff was lacking. The first room provided was very small, was smelly, no wardrobe to hang up clothes, only 3 hangers provided not suitable for a 5 night stay. The room was dusty. The 9th floor corridor was in a very bad condition, scuff marks on walls, fire extinguishers hanging off the wall. This looked like a transit hotel! The second room offered was also dusty. The third room, a loft style room was not dusty, but a hanging rail had to be provided and all of my inner wear, socks, underwear etc. had to be left out on a countertop as there was no drawer provision. The bed, up some stairs was very small and I was basically sleeping on a mattress on the floor. At breakfast in the morning, I asked for mushrooms as I could find none, was told 'NO'! I could not believe this. I told them to go check and eventually some arrived, after I had eaten my main meal. I emailed into the front desk manager Mr Lim and subsequently had a meeting with him and Ms Wee to express my dissatisfaction. The offered to find me a better room, but none was forthcoming. Ms Wee invited me to dinner that evening, I also showed to her an area of carpet outside room 525 where the seam was standing up and produced a trip hazard. During the meal I also met your Financia Controller, Mr Wee? And repeated to him my dissatisfaction. Ms Wee asked about the breakfast provision and I did tell her that I liked sauté mushrooms and grilled tomatoes similar to other Singapore hotels. I even offered to go to Cold Storage (at Bugis) and buy some if they did not have any. On 3 subsequent mornings I did receive mushrooms but no tomatoes and on the last morning no mushrooms at all. I had run out of energy to voice my concerns. All in all this was the worst hotel experience I have had in Singapore. I know Singapore standards having lived there from 2003 to 2015, this fell well below the mark for a hotel of your standing.

The front desk was such a darling and accommodated us earlier than usual. Thank you very much. I dont know though if i will return, for multiple reasons: 1. The room size is crazy insane specially the bathroom 2. Theres no bidet. At this day and age, really? 3. There was really nothing special about the hotel except for the good location. 4. Elevators are so busy and theres only a couple of them.
