We enjoyed our stay in Mercure Singapore Bugis, the hotel is strategically located for food establishments, churches, train stations and tourist spots. The staff especially in charge of the maintenance particularly for rooms 1425 and 1311 is well appreciated.

Dear Mercure Bugis Management, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my most recent stay at your hotel. As someone who has chosen Mercure Bugis many times in the past, this experience fell well below the standard I have come to expect. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were noticeably abrupt and disengaged. There was no acknowledgment of my Accor Platinum status, which is unusual and disheartening given the level of loyalty I have shown to the brand. Recognition of status is not simply a formality—it reflects the value placed on returning guests, and its absence was felt immediately. The issues continued beyond reception. The bar staff on the ground floor were equally disappointing. When I returned for a second drink, the staff member could not remember my room number, despite there being very few customers at the time. This lack of attention and basic service awareness was surprising and frustrating. At breakfast on Level 3, the staff did not direct me to the Privilege Lounge. The only reason I knew where to go was because I have stayed before. For a guest with Platinum status, this lack of guidance and recognition was again unacceptable. More concerning was the handling of the deposit. The amount held on my credit card was significantly higher than the total cost of my stay. This unnecessarily large pre-authorisation caused inconvenience, as it blocked funds well beyond what was required. Overall, the combination of unwelcoming service, lack of recognition, and poor handling of the deposit has left me questioning whether the hotel still upholds the standards that once made it a reliable choice. I hope you will review these issues seriously so that future guests do not encounter the same experience.

As a valued Accor Platinum member and a returning guest to Mercure Singapore Bugis, it is certainly disappointing to learn that we did not deliver the level of recognition and service you rightfully expected. We regret that your arrival experience felt abrupt and that your Platinum status was not properly acknowledged. Your loyalty to Accor and to our hotel is very important to us, and we apologise that this was not reflected in the service you received. Your feedback has been shared with our Front Office team to reinforce the importance of recognising our valued members and ensuring a warm and engaging welcome. We are also sorry to hear about the experience at the bar and the lack of guidance provided at breakfast regarding the Privilege Lounge. This is certainly not the level of attentiveness we aim to provide, and we will address this with the respective teams to ensure better awareness and service for our loyal guests. Regarding the deposit, please allow us to clarify that the pre-authorisation amount placed at check-in is a standard procedure to cover the room charges and incidental expenses during the stay. The amount will be automatically released by the bank after check-out if unused; however, we apologise for the inconvenience caused should it have appeared higher than expected. We truly appreciate your candid feedback, as it helps us identify areas that require improvement. Your comments have been shared with the relevant department heads for review, and we will continue working to ensure a more attentive and welcoming experience for our guests. Hotel is in a central location, close to the MRT & a great little Hawker centre! Staff were friendly & attentive. We stayed in a loft room for 5 nights. The room itself was clean & tidy, although the bathroom & shower were quite small/ cramped & the mattress was on the floor. Which could be a bit of a problem for some. All in all, we had a great 5 nights!

Mercure Bugis is conveniently located near two MRT stations — Bugis MRT (direct green line from Changi Airport) and Bras Basah MRT (same yellow line as Stadium / National Stadium, for concerts) — plus several bus stops nearby. So going anywhere is easy. It’s also within walking distance to Bugis Market, Bugis+, Bugis Junction, OG Albert, and Sim Lim Square (where you can find 3 Meals A Day / Auntie Mandy), along with plenty of food centers around the area. The location is simply GREAT for exploring and shopping. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We were assisted by Ms. Joey Ong at reception — the check-in and check-out process was smooth and swift, and to our surprise we even got upgraded to a loft room. Wow, that made us so happy!!! This experience definitely convinced me to sign up for All Accor+ after this. Love. Love. Love.
