The Pullman Hill Street - maybe a hump!!

For the most part, this hotel was OK. Comfortable room, good and friendly service from staff. Great location for getting around central Singapore. Exceptionally good was the rooftop pool and ElChico bar with amazing views. Staff at the rooftop bar were brilliant. There were just a few too many small issues that made the stay not so good. Having the Check In on the 3rd floor was ridiculous plus not enough space and when a group arrived you couldn't even get to the desk for assistance. At breakfast downstairs there seemed to not be enough staff. The fancy coffee machines were THE WORST THING EVER just about every guest couldn't work the machines and was looking for assistance all the time. Please also be aware that some of the tables are directly under aircon vents and drip water on you at your table. I was particularly frustrated that the there was no label for Tomato Ketchup vs Chili Sauce. Please tell me how I am supposed to tell the difference. I took photos that I can send you. In our room there was a unpleasant smell from the drains in the bathroom and I think for a Executive room the complimentary drinks and snacks should be replenished daily. The guest should not have to request for more. The complimentary pressing service of two items a day was good and a nice service. The Executive Lounge was poorly laid out with the furniture. Some tables you couldn't get to due to lack of space, plus not enough space for guests INSIDE in the Aircon who then had no choice but to go OUTSIDE. Also, the food offering was a bit repetitive - Sushi, Smoked Salmon, Mini Samosas, Tomato and Pesto sandwiches most nights. The spicy fried chicken was very nice one night. Please note, don't keep sour cream outside above the hot food station. No one wants to eat warm sour cream yuk! Finally, there was a new member of staff in the lounge team, his uniform was different to the others, he wore shorts. Not very professional to talk badly about guests infront of guests who can hear him. We could hear every word he said to the other team members when he complained about a group who wanted to charge to one room but he insisted they all get seperate bills to sign. We're not concerned about the problem he had, the lounge guests just don't need to hear him talking about them quite rudely. Worse, was after he complained to one team member, he then went to find another one and repeat the whole complaining again. Just something to be aware of. Might come back again one day to see if any changes.
