Pullman Singapore Hill Street 5 stars

Nice new hotel, overall a good experience with friendly staff, has some room to improve. We had two interconnecting rooms on the 10th floor, the interconnecting door wouldn’t stay open and automatically locks when shut. Maintenance tried to fix but couldn’t so they taped up the latch to stop it automatically locking. Everything is brand new so looks great but very little storage, bathroom has dark lighting so difficult to do makeup and no extraction making it damp and smelly with wet towels. They do have cool features too such as the filter water tap, electric curtain controls and eco mode on aircon controls. Breakfast was ample, often too busy and had to wait to be seated then they’d come round at just after 10am (barely 5 mins after being seated) to remind us that breakfast closes at 10:30am. That felt a little rushed since we had to wait to be seated. We had access to the lounge and they had drinks and food between 5-7pm which was really lovely and the rooftop pool has great views of marina bay sands. It feels less family friendly not because the space around the pool, kids can’t splash without getting people sitting around the pool wet. Also missing a steam room / sauna. I think upon check-in they should have given us a map that showed the underground direct access to the MRT, we discovered it on the last day that there was access literally outside the hotel but would have been helpful to know this before so we didn’t have to walk in the humidity or rain.

Front officers can be more friendly. The housekeeping is not standardized, one day the didnt wipe the sink area, the other day they didnt give hand towel and new slippers. Room was ok, I love the swimming pool at the rooftop the view was amazing.

Everything was so smooth at the hotel loved the convenience to almost all the locations even managed to walk to a lot of places it was that close. The hotel ambiance was amazing the staff were supportive too!!

I recently stayed at your hotel from the 13th to the 16th of April in one of your suite units during my visit to Singapore. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding the service standards throughout my stay. Given Pullman’s reputation and the premium rates charged, I had much higher expectations. Unfortunately, this visit was far from pleasant, and I sincerely hope this feedback prompts the necessary improvements in your team’s service delivery. 1. Lack of Flexibility and Understanding at the Lounge We were entitled to access the Executive Lounge at Level 3. During one visit, I politely requested a small brown bag to take away two croissants for my child. I fully understand if there are rules about not taking food out, but this was a simple and reasonable request — a couple of pastries for a child. It’s disappointing that such a basic gesture of goodwill was denied. In all the hotels I’ve stayed in, I’ve never once encountered such inflexibility over something so minor. 2. Perceived Discrimination at the Poolside I requested to dine by the pool and was told it wasn’t allowed. However, I witnessed a Caucasian couple being permitted to do so. This inconsistency in treatment raises concerns about double standards. As a Malaysian guest, I can’t help but feel discriminated against, and that is both hurtful and unacceptable in a hospitality environment that should be inclusive and fair to all guests. 3. Unhelpful Bell Service at Checkout When our Grab arrived at checkout, the bellboy on duty made no genuine effort to assist us with our luggage. He appeared more engaged in chatting than doing his job. When I looked at him, he made a half-hearted motion of touching the bags, pretending to help. This kind of attitude is not only unprofessional but reflects very poorly on your hotel's standards. Overall, the level of service I encountered during my stay was far below what I expected from a reputable brand like Pullman. We chose to stay in a suite, anticipating a higher level of care and hospitality — what we received, however, was the complete opposite. It’s extremely disappointing to spend good money and be treated in such a manner. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and as of now, I have no intention of returning or recommending this hotel to others. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues highlighted.

Hotel is centrally located, was great for me who was travelling alone, I could walk to Clarke Quay, Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay & Raffles! Rooms were amazing, so clean, great views! Didn’t get to eat at any of the restaurants but they looked great & were always busy! Also didn’t get to use either of the pools due to weather & then also not having time! Staff were nice, polite & super helpful! Definitely one to consider for your stay in Singapore!
