Ibis on Bencoolen had everything I needed for my holiday. It was located close to two MRT stations which made it easy to get around. It was close to shopping in Bugis and tasty, cheap food at the Albert Hawker Centre. The room was always clean and cleaners would leave air conditioning on which was appreciated when getting home late from a busy day. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

We tried to ask for our room to be cleaned via QR code but link didn't work. We saw someone in the janitor room, and asked for our room to be cleaned and he said yes - but not cleaned when we returned to our room at 10pm.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room was exceptionally clean and of a decent size, even for a family of three. The buffet breakfast was also very good, with a decent variety of vegetarian options. The selection of fruits, juices, and beverages was particularly impressive. There are a few areas where the experience could have been even better. I had requested an upgrade to a King Room and paid the additional amount for it. However, the extra mattress provided was essentially two single mattresses placed together and covered with a bedsheet. While the mattress itself was comfortable, the gap in the centre made it quite uncomfortable for anyone sleeping there, especially my son. A proper single mattress would have made a significant difference. The bathroom could also benefit from a few additional basic amenities, such as face cream/moisturiser. Most of the staff were very helpful and courteous, particularly the room service/housekeeping team and the breakfast staff. One small point regarding breakfast: one of the days, I reached the breakfast area at around 9:55 AM and was informed that food was no longer available. A five-minute buffer for guests arriving just before the closing time would have been a nice gesture and would have made the experience even better. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I hope this feedback is helpful in further enhancing the guest experience.

Stayed here for over 14 years and it was the first time the receptionist remembered me and really made me happy!! Her name was Chaw!! However, on my departure date, cafe waiter at reception asked me to bring my luggage to checkin counter and even after I explained to him I usually leave it behind the reception counter, the waiter insisted I check it in at reception. I unwillingly do so and when returning back to the cafe reception, I see 2 guests in front of me enter the cafe with their rolling luggage without requiring to check them in really ticked me off!!!! I instantly complaint to the guy immediately and showed him my displeasure!!! Something like this can ruin my day especially in the morning on my final day before returning to HK…. I do wanted to be treated differently because I’m a platinum member but definitely not in this way!!!

I so loved my stay that me and my wife will defintietley be coming back to ibis on Bencoolen - The staff were woundeful and helpful - My onlyt little issu is the TV - I am from Australia with an English background - I found it hard to navigate youtube on your TV as the writing was in Chinese - I did work it out enogh to be OK

The IBIS Bencoolen was a mid-tier hotel with all the amenties, friendly staff, good aircon in the room, comfortable bed with a range of pillows and a nice shower. When I asked to not have breakfast on my last day as I was flying out early the reception staff said they couldn't credit breakfast even though they wouldn't provide anything at 5.30am. They said something about coffee being available or a takeaway box but when I asked at 5.45am on my last day if there was any breakfast (as I had to pay for it) I was told there was no breakfast until 6am. This put a damper on my stay but the rest of the hotel amenties and service were great.

My only recommendation for family room is that consider 2 queen beds instead 1 king and 1 single
