We were met with a lovely coffee service when we arrived at 6:00am. Check-in was easy and the butler explained how everything in the room works. I wish we would have had a more detailed briefing on the property and what was included in our stay (availability of classes at the gym, whether breakfast was included). We booked the historic tour of the hotel and the date kept changing due to lack of communication between the front desk/concierge/historian. We asked for a bucket of ice to be delivered to the room daily, but some days we had to follow up (stay was for 5 nights). At breakfast, it took a while for the coffee to be served as it is served only one cup at a time. Overall, Raffles is a lovely property. Attention to detail could use some improvement.

We had a very warm welcome by doorman Raj and host Sita (if I remember the name of the lovely lady correctly). The hotel has a very beautiful colonial architecture style and you feel the old times live. The Long Bar was a bit disappointing, not the same atmosphere as we have experienced in twenty years ago (commercial and super pricey). But we appreciated it that we didn’t have to wait in line because we were hotel guests. Also many thanks for the upgrade of our suite and the welcoming late check out. This way we could enjoy the hotel the most. 🙏🏼
