Aparthotel Adagio Paris Malakoff Châtillon 4 stars

This was our first trip to France and we needed a place to stay that was affordable for a family of four. We did like the security features, including a 24-hour front desk and a deadbolt lock for the door leading to our rooms. We were allowed to store our luggage when we first arrived. The staff was friendly and greeted us when we entered and left the lobby. I did like the availability of kitchen utensils, including plates and pots and pans. What I think can use improvement is providing guests with more than two bath towels and two hand towels and one bath mat. We also ran low on toilet paper—we could have asked for more but just bought our own instead. Since there are no shower curtains or doors, water went everywhere and given that we had only a few towels, it was a mess to clean up. Fortunately, we bought paper towels from Monoprix as well. We also had no top sheet and the duvet was heavy and sometimes too hot to sleep under. The overall cleanliness was okay but there was some room for improvement, including a more thorough vacuuming and wipe down of some surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom.

Only problem was initial room allocation not being as described. Having sorted the interconnecting room, it was great, two inte-connecting studios with kitchenette and en suite bathrooms. Comfortable and clean with fridge, microwave, hob, kettle, toaster. Enough to do a good continental breakfast and the odd meal to save money and more importantly time on lengthy Paris lunches! Secure parking and basic facilities.

When you book your room online, you clearly have the choice to book 1 double bed or 2 single beds. Well, we arrived late and they give us a room with twin beds even though I specifically booked a double bed. They gave us another room the day after. The room was very smelly. A strong smell from the pipes. Impossible to sleep on the morning since the uneducated housekeepers talk and laugh very loudly in the corridors. They even entered our room while we where deeply sleeping.

I absolutely loved this hotel from start to end, it was genuinely fantastic even for someone as picky as me. I booked through Hotels.com and added into the notes it was my partners birthday, and dropped them an email a few days before to ensure the booking was all in order. They emailed very promptly to acknowledge me and put my mind at rest, and welcome me. The room we got was absolutely beautiful, it was clean, quite well maintained and just as the photos showed. We even had a view of the Eiffel Tower! The room had a beautiful welcome pack for my partners birthday, a warming handwritten note and a selection of lovely gifts! They even placed a bottle of champagne in our fridge - the overall effort they went to was quite obvious and the staff deserve huge recognition. The hotel was a nice, straight, 10-15 minute walk from the last metro stop on line 4, and just 15 minutes into the centre of Paris! There was ample restaurants and supermarkets just a few minutes down the road too, so the location was ideal. We didn’t use it, but it had a clean workout room with 2 treadmills, a laundry and the kitchen was well maintained and well equipped in our room. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the need to interact other than ‘hello’ as we came in was minimal as of course there were no issues to raise. I would highly recommend this hotel, and thank them very much for the amazing stay! I hope you’ll welcome us back!

the staff was overall nice. but the fact that we had to pay money for more/new towels when staying 5 days was annoying and frankly gross.
