I had several issues with my stay 1) The cost was very expensive for the standard of the room and services 2) The room is very basic and as the walls are thin , the noise is more than I am used to 3) The phone in the room did not work so I went down to reception to order and iron and ironing board 4) I asked for an iron and ironing board. Quickly the iron arrived at the room (good!) I asked for an ironing board and the reply was "just use the bed". I found that unbelievable for a Mercure. I am not a student and the risk of causing burns on the bed would be high. This is not acceptable. Whilst the people who work in the hotel are pleasant, I certainly wouldn't stay there ever again.

The breakfast at 06:30, especially the eggs and beans were cold. There were no vegetables offered. The only person showing up at the breakfast, asked for the room number. My room was not cleaned after the first night. I had the impression, that saving money where they can was the top priority. The staff made an impression to be unmotivated. Mostly they were sitting at the front desk playing on their mobile phone. Normally the money I pay per night fits well with my expectations. This was not the case at that hotel

Very satisfied with the stay overall. Though rooms are small, very good customer service and an easy access to transport. Could actually get a view of the Eiffel Tower from my room.
