Bad customer service, i have arrived and informed the room will be ready after 30 minutes, and the guy in reception who handle my reservation left the desktop, again i ask the replaced person about my room if my room is ready, says wait 30 minutes again, so in total waiting one hour and half after arguing with them they handle the room to me. I have seen also the others who came for in place reservation they get the room directly, while i was waiting for 1 and half hour, i don't know what's the reason for it but differently i will not repeat staying in this hotel again.

I recently stayed at Mercure Makkah Hotel and overall, my experience was good. The hotel is comfortable, and the general atmosphere is pleasant. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. The breakfast experience was disappointing. Some basic items such as olive oil and honey were not available when I asked. In addition, once certain items ran out, they were not refilled. I also had an unpleasant experience when I requested watermelon — one of the Egyptian chefs collected leftover small pieces from a tray and then added more from the kitchen, which was not appropriate. Also, the bathroom maintenance were not always up to the expected standard. Additionally, some of the Egyptian staff members, particularly two chefs working during breakfast, were not as professional as expected. One staff member assisted me by opening the door and changing the door battery, but I was surprised to find that he later entered the room and adjusted the air conditioning settings without my permission, which was uncomfortable. On the positive side, I would like to sincerely thank several staff members who were very helpful and respectful. In the restaurant, Mahmoud, Shafik, and Sayed provided excellent service, along with Chef Mohsen during the evening shift. From housekeeping, Kawsar did a great job and was professional and attentive. At the reception, Raef, Obaid, Aliaa, and Nada were all friendly and supportive. Overall, while the stay had some positive aspects thanks to a few dedicated staff members, there are clear and important areas that require improvement, especially breakfast standards and staff professionalism.

Clearly, the hotel was fully booked, and the staff were doing their best to meet guests’ needs and demands. However, there was a significant staff shortage. While the team performed admirably, they simply couldn’t handle such a large number of customers.

I couldn’t sleep well during the first night because of broken bed. I have arrived by 3 am and was so exhausted and tired. I found the bed broken and called room service and reception many times but no answer. I had bad night. Beside that the food outside rooms stayed there for long time and make the place look bad and smell bad too. The level of care and clean is low. I found many reviews in Google Maps complaining about the customer service answering calls.
