Lovely helpful staff in the breakfast room and a really great choice of breakfast so 'well done'. The room itself was excellent and the location is great. I'll be back. One member of the evening reception staff is neither warm, welcoming or even very polite. He's been working with you quite a while and perhaps is a little complacent. As you have asked for feedback, then I feel obliged to make this comment.

We had just one night in Marseille between Madrid and our next destination. I didn't want to spend a fortune but still wanted to be central to the key tourist areas. This hotel fit the bill. As with most Ibis hotels room was small but adequate. Check-in was easy and both counter staff and housekeeping personnel very help - my wife has mobility issued and they willingly assisted with our bags without expectation of a tip. Beds were comfortable but AC control difficult. Breakfast went beyond my expectations. Check-out smooth and quick. Taxi/Uber from/to airport a bit expensive but a fairly quick and smooth ride. Location good but need to pick routes carefully if you have mobility issues as some footpaths to port and around hotel narrow and/or blocked by cars. Hill on return from port area to hotel a little bit tiring if you have bad knees. Recommend if you are on a budget.

Our stay was very comfortable and all staff were very helpful. However, it was difficult for a person of restricted mobility like me to access the hotel from the station and it wasn't made clear to me when I booked that there are in fact 2 Ibis hotels close to the station which meant that initially I went to the other hotel where the receptionist was very rude about informing me that I was booked at the other Ibis hotel and very unhelpful about giving me information on how to get there. It should be made clear at booking that Ibis Styles, although reasonably close, is not easy to get to because of the very long steep staircase or steep slope from the station.
