While the hotel is described as Vieux‑Port, it is in reality between the Noailles / Belsunce area. The surroundings felt busy and not very welcoming, with significant street activity, particularly at night. We were offered what was presented as an upgrade from a suite to two connecting rooms, but were twice asked to pay a supplement (at check-in and then at check-out), which was confusing. In practice, it did not feel like an upgrade: the rooms were on the 3rd floor facing the street, without double glazing, and were extremely noisy (tram bell, traffic, street cleaning), making sleep difficult. The rooms were clean and functional, but the overall service did not meet the standards we usually experience at Mercure or other Accor hotels. As an Accor member, this stay was below expectations.

Concernant le confort sonore, nous souhaitons préciser que nos chambres sont bien équipées de fenêtres en double vitrage. Toutefois, l’animation du quartier et certains bruits extérieurs (circulation, tramway, nettoyage de la voirie) peuvent malheureusement se faire entendre, notamment en soirée et durant la nuit, et cela reste indépendant de notre volonté. Nous tenons également à clarifier un point important : aucun supplément relatif à la chambre ou au surclassement n’a été facturé. Seuls les petits-déjeuners ont été ajoutés à votre note, conformément à votre réservation. Nous regrettons néanmoins si cela a pu prêter à confusion lors de votre séjour. Enfin, en raison d’une contrainte de disponibilité au moment de votre arrivée, nous avons cherché la solution la plus confortable possible et avons fait de notre mieux pour vous proposer deux chambres communicantes afin de répondre au mieux à vos besoins. Nous sommes désolés si cette alternative n’a pas correspondu à vos attentes. Nous vous présentons à nouveau toutes nos excuses et espérons avoir l’opportunité de vous accueillir de nouveau afin de vous offrir une expérience plus agréable et conforme aux standards Mercure. From this type of property and star rating, there are some unquestionable amenities that need to be in the room. Such as : coffee machine, shampoo, conditioner, welcome kit, slippers and possibly bath robe. I would also suggest a deep clean to the hair dryer bag. In case windows cannot be opened- this needs to be transparently communicated. Overall good quality of sleep , the bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was perfect! Also good job hsk team!

I stayed 10 days the linen and towels were never changed. The breakfast is a joke, a disaster! Avoid this hotel, score 1
