Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. However, at breakfast on the morning of October 6, we were rather sternly told to take our trays and eat only from them. We complied, of course, but this is a top hotel in Marseille, not a self-service canteen. Perhaps the hotel management should try a mystery guest experience themselves to understand what it feels like to be reprimanded first thing in the morning. A little more tact and courtesy would certainly make a difference and would be more in keeping with the standards expected of a hotel of this caliber.

Our first visit to Marseille. This hotel is close to the tube and tram lines and a few minutes walk from the old port. Room was quiet and bed comfortable. Good breakfast. Prices very reasonable. What more could you want!

We arrived in Marseille by train just after noon and our room was available upon our arrival. The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the train station, mostly downhill. The old port is an easy 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel with many restaurants and activities nearby. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only feedback would be to have cooler sheets. Our room had a duvet which in the summer is quite hot. We ended up removing the interior and kept only the duvet cover to use as a sheet. besides that, the room was clean and comfortable. The people working the front desk were only helpful and welcoming.
