Very basic , reasonably clean. We came to see a concert at the Orange Vélodrome. Both on the same metro line. Also quick metro ride to the old port. Convenient location.

Horrible is a word too kind for this place. it was a living nightmare. the website said it had a hotel parking withought any extra information, therefore we thuoght we wouldnt have an issue parking. However when we arrived the vey unpleasent lady said we had to book a parking slot in advance (god knows where, as there was nooption anywhere to book a parking space) and the parking was full. When i asked her where we could park she did not provide us with anything apart from a sign wich we had to notice somewhere before the parking. She did not know th adress of the parking nor could she explain how to find it as she said she did not drive a car. To any questions i had regarding the location of the parking her answer was : i dont know, i cant help you, i dont drive. Using google maps we found a parking wich was a third of the price which we paid for the room. As we checked into our room we were absolutely disgusted by the smell inside: it smelled like a dead animak has died in there. The first 15 minutes we spent looking for a dead rat because that was the only possible explanation for the smell. We then went back to the reception and asked if all rooms had that smell, indicating that it smelled horrible. She replied that it must be the smell from the "cleaning perfume" the maintenece use. She gave us anther key to a different room to see if it smlled better, wivh thank god it did. When we came down i made sure to point out that there must be something rotting in the room, as it isnt possible for the room to have such a smell. I told her to go and look and smell, to what she replied that she belives me: so she was not going to do anything about the smell! Can you imagine?? She believed me, however the next guests will be checked into that room with that same smell. Absolutely horrible and disgusting! Run! DO NOT STAY HERE. The woman was rude and very unpleasent, did not care about the hotel, nor the people staying there.

It's a very old hotel and no amenities but just towels. Breakfast is also minimal, nothing special. I felt the room charge was not suitable for their service.

A worned down hotel

The hotel's corridors clearly show signs of wear and tear. Some rooms as well. Especially on the 8th floor. Air conditioning did not work. Fortunately, there was little noise from the railway on the outside, so the window could be left open. There was a plastic sheet/tarpaulin under the sheet, which made the bed a bit damp to sleep in. The room was not cleaned / tidied while I stayed there for 2 days. Positive that there was a small kitchen in the room. Missing bottled water and coffee/tea.
