Had a really comfortable stay. The hotel is perfectly located right on the harbour. Boat trips and restaurants are right on the doorstep. The hitel is lovely. There is not a pool but the ataff are reallu friendly and breakfast is very good.

We had a wonderful stay at Beauvau! Our room was lovely, especially our view of the port. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel because of the location and other reviews that said the staff was english-speaking and friendly. They were absolutely right and made our transition into Marseille easy and fun. A map with personal recommendations was given to us on arrival with explanations of major sights around the city. Both St Charles Train Station and Marseille Notre Dame were easily walkable. The port views are wonderful and lively and the rooms are classically stylish with quality towels, linens, etc. Don't skip the bar (shout out to the George Sands cocktail) and eat breakfast at least once!

We loved the hotel’s excellent location, its spacious and comfortable rooms, the very friendly and helpful staff, and the breakfast — one of the best we had during our trip through southern France. The room itself had been newly renovated, but it had some noticeable design flaws. There were zero shelves in the bathroom despite plenty of available space. We ended up moving a chair in from the bedroom to hold our clean towels and had to leave our toiletries on the bedroom dresser. The lack of a shower door also meant water splashed everywhere, leaving the bathroom very messy after each use. The biggest issues, however, stemmed from the challenges of an older building. There is only one elevator, and it’s painfully slow. It even stopped working completely on one of the days during our stay (luckily we didn’t mind using the stairs when we didn’t have luggage). Even worse, the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, forcing us to wake up exhausted and prepare to evacuate. These disruptions were very unpleasant. While there were many positives, the combination of design flaws and operational issues was enough that we won’t be choosing this hotel again.
