Typical mercure stay. Nothing exceptional nothing poor (although only one towel seems a little cheap).

Regarding the number of towels, it is indeed adjusted according to the number of guests in the room. As part of our ecological commitment and to help reduce our environmental impact, single occupancy rooms are provided with one bath towel and one smaller towel. We had a warm welcome and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to return our rental car, so we arrived early. The staff accommodated us, and allowed us to place all our baggage in the secure storage room so I could return our rental car on time. Our room was spacious, with a private balcony, clean and comfortable.

Good hotel, next to train station

The location next to the train station means that the "Intramuros" town is about 2 km away. The modern hotel is pleasant with large rooms, large also bathroom with a rainshower, good breakfast choice and friendly staff. The hotel was used by groups, which did cause some capacity challenges in the breakfast area as 20+ people showed up at the same time. The pricing seems a bit steep, but Saint-Malo is quite a posh destination
