The hotel is nicely located on the seafront with a 15 min promenade walk to the walled town. Rooms refurbished but on the small side. Helpful reception and breakfast staff. Our safe didn't work (battery issue) and despite reporting, it was not repaired. The downside is that it is almost impossible to park near the hotel and there are long queues to get into a nearby car park (August!). A few payfor spaces are around the hotel but rarely available. If you lack mobility this is a major issue. There is a drop off hatched area outside the front door but even this is often unavailable. No restaurant for dinner. Limited bar. La Corniche restaurant nearby is good. Le Sillon also nearby is expensive and pretentious. You have to book, St Malo is crammed with people in August.

Nice hotel, comfortable, however the beauty of this hotel is in the sea-facing rooms. We regretted not opting for this option. Staff was kind and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, so cannot comment on it.

The reception offered good service and the location was really good. The only problem we had was the fact that the baby bed didn't have a matress and we mentioned this to the reception that apologized. I recommend buying 2-3 on these mattresses as they are cheap (20-100 e each) and come in standard sizes and are available everywhere where you can buy matresses. We improvised a mattress with an extra sheet folded a few times and baby slept well.

Stayed at many Accor affiliated hotels so just a couple of comments which I hope will be taken on board. On arrival at 14:30 my wife was told in a firm tone your room is not ready you will have to wait. Truth is we have members advantages that allow for early check in or late check out so perhaps rather than dismissing her slightly early arrival the question should have been asked “Are you an Accor Member” - secondly we commented on the heat in the foyer and restaurant and were told the A/C didn’t work - the next morning a different staff member was on duty and the ac worked perfectly! (Personal staff preference should not come before the guests comfort - and finally on the topic of a/c the small unit in the corner rooms is not sufficient to cool the room. I checked and our room stayed at 28 despite being set at 20c - those points excepted it was a perfectly pleasant stay with a nice breakfast- thank you

Extremely satisfied with the personal especially Ludovic and Flora, this People was more than helpful professional and helpful. The only thing why I did not marked extremely satisfied is because the rooms were very cold.....how ever Flora managed to get a heater for our room. I hesitated a lot before booking Mercure St Malo Front de Mer.But I did not regret. Location is quite comfortable in Not near train station, once you have arrived(we took a taxi , about 8 euros) you can walk everywhere To the fortified city, to Ale, the place where Germans established a vase during WWII, to the tourist office and to many bus stops.Mostmof all you can walk by the sea front. Room-superior one- was comfortable.We did not like bathroom.Call us old fashioned but bathroom in a hotel should allow privacy.They solved this with a dark curtain but it I find it s strange designer's tendency.Ssid that, the balcony facing the sea is priceless The sea sound during the night is awesome.I loved it and the fresh air coming from the seaside. Breakfast room is quite nice.Again,I would prefer higher chairs and tables everywhere and bigger windows allowing to see the sea but it is very nice.Brakfsdt offerings are many and for different tastes.Salt butter and brioche bread, delicious. Staff very kind. I would choice it again.

We had as a couple a great night. The room was very clean with a nice view to the seafront.
