Overnight stay for ferry next morning with underground parking and breakfast included in deal. The friendly, English speaking receptionist had checked us in, we left our bags in our modern looking rooms, and had a15 minute stroll to the walled old town for early dinner and to stretch our legs after a long drive. Only gripe would be that there was no air conditioning in the rooms although there was a fan.

Stay easily extended for an extra night due to boat cancellation- very helpful staff, comfortable room and bed. Lack of aircon could have been a problem but weather had cooled. Reasonable breakfast, well replenished etc. lovely range of loose leaf teas.

Overall was a good solution for us to visit not only the "intra-muros" city center of Saint Malo but also the other districts around. Considering that was an Ibis 'Styles', the rooms dimension and the level of the breakfast could be improved...

Reception helpful as we arrived just before midnight.However our bathroom was a disgrace with dried urine around the base of the toilet and a fairly smelly bathroom as a consequence. In addition the corridor carpets were stained.

The room was clean and had everything one needed (including a welcome fan). My room faced the road though and there was traffic all night - if you're noise sensitive best to ask for a room on a higher floor or facing away from the road. Breakfast started very early and offered a nice basic buffet. However the tables were greasy and dirty and the staff member on duty was playing on his phone rather than cleaning.
