On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and friendly and explained where everything was to get the best out of our stay. Because of storm Darragh, for safety reasons the garage door to the underground locked parking could not be opened and it was explained how to access it from the rear. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Although there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, they are available in the lobby. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff, like the receptionist, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were traditional Ibis fare, plentiful and constantly refreshed. The old walled city is about a 20 minute walk, which was good for enhancing the appetite and then to aid the digestion afterwards.

Quick overnight stay due to early morning ferry. Checked in in advance, handed over key card early next morning. Very efficient

Arrived late in the evening, good service at reception. The room was quiet and comfortable and breakfast buffet was good. Easy underground parking.

We always enjoy staying at the hotel. It is very comfortable, the staff are excellent, and being able to park the car and walk into St Malo is an added bonus. We usually give the hotel a mark of 10, but this time the failure of the internet on the Sunday meant that we had to phone up from the UK to pay the bill. Apart from that small blip, all was good as usual.
