I always have coffee from Gazebo, which is the main coffee lounge at the hotel. In fact, I’ve been doing this for the past year. It’s quaint, cozy, quiet and the service is impeccable. Kriti, who works over there, is great, and always has a smile on her face. I will say that the prices are on the higher side, especially the food and snack, but for a coffee. for a couple of hours and to get work done, it’s a great space.

Hotel was great except for 1 staff member at the front desk on morning shift; male, 1st initial "Y" name tag, was flippant and unaccompdating to a slight emergency i had with my VISA credit card. I received a fraud alert email from VISA requiring me to place a collect call (that VISA would pay charges) confirm my card was in my possession. I showed Y the email, and explained i would not be able to pay for added days I planned on staying. He punched in my room number and said im paid up. I said im adding days, he didnt care, said it was impossible to make a collect call. Long story short I went to the hotel next door, and they made the call for me even though I was not a guest!

My son and I stayed for 1 night on December 1, 2025 through booking.com at Movenpick Grand Al Bustan. Upon arrival the receptionist is not approachable at all. We requested for a good room and joked if it can be upgraded however her responses were like giving me the feeling that we cannot demand as it was already ‘an offer’ and through booking.com. Not like our stays in other hotels where we were treated differently in a nicer way. The receptionist claimed that the room she gave us is the best and that is ‘newly renovated’. We checked in late as well and asked if we can ask for a late check-out but the receptionist gave a firm no. When we went to the room, we have noted more disappointing experience, no lotion in the bathroom, the sink was very dirty, the bedside light was loose and tilts when touched, the smell of the room and more but how can I complain when ‘we booked only an offer through booking.com’. All of these negative experiences plus we had a long day as we were supposed to move in to our new home however it wasn’t ready and my son and I were very very exhausted from and what we only need that time was place to relax and sleep for atleast 1 night. Early morning as well I head people talk loudly on the corridor. We filed a complaint and it is very challenging to reach out to the hotel and we reached out to booking.com and they themselves experienced how hard it is to talk to them. Please note that we have been to other 5-star hotels yet we never had this experience before. Even a lower star hotels gave us a better experience than this Movenpick Grand Al Bustan. I also did not even put an effort in documenting our stay (I usually post on my social media accounts) as it was really disappointing. And I felt bad that my son had to experience those as well. How can I recommend such place?

Good, staff is nice, close to airport, gym is great. Downside: there was a barbecue whose smell was everywhere
