Nice hotel …. But

Was a very nice hotel and I liked the location but I requested months before arrival it was my wife’s 60th Birthday and if they could offer anything complimentary, the reply was yes we will do towel art complimentary and if you would like anything else we can do it at a price and they proceeded to email me the options and prices in AED. I opted to not pay extra and for the 3 nights never even received the towel art. My wife and friend were also almost ripped off over two bottles of water at the pool until they complained and lastly the hotel nightclub seems to attract some ladies who I can best describe as prostitutes. For a 5 star hotel it was good but also bad at the same time which is why I only give it a 5.

Clean, Comfortable and great service

We stayed 2 nights here in a Kingsize room with the pool views. Hotel itself is dated, the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but don't forget your toothbrush. We were unfortunate to have some very inconsiderate, noisy neighbours, and the on duty staff were quick to deal with this situation ... (Thankyou) The breakfast buffett was well stocked and the onsite Howdy's Restaurant and The Lobby Lounge Cafè provided good, tasty food and coffee. Thanks for a great stay

Very poor 5* hotel

I had to take this hotel due to a missed flight and it is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in Dubai so far (and I have done like 9 different 5* hotels). The whole hotel has a tired feel and most interior material has seen some beating. The room was okay-ish but the bathroom was unacceptable: there was mold on the tiles of the bath and a bathrobe + little towels were missing. The other towels smelled damp. In the morning it was time for an energizing breakfast... so I thought. The buffet with hot items had open lids all the time which resulted in cold food - which is a health concern. Staff was unresponsive too. My fried egg was OK, but the quality of other foods was below par. The humus was the worst I've ever eaten and the bread was industrial. After a few hours of work, it was time for a coffee (at 11 AM). Thanks to my All Platinum status, I went to the Executive Lounge for a fresh coffee... Only to find out that there was a non working coffee machine. So I went to the bar of the lobby to get a coffee over there: it took the unresponsive waiter 20 minutes to bring me the coffee (which I ordered at the counter). A coffee that tasted bitter and was made of low quality beans. Prior to leaving at 4PM, I visited their Executive Lounge one more time for the afternoon tea with sweets. It was again a very poor affair. The tea was low grade and bitter, and the refreshments (cakes, sweets) were of poor quality too. Conclusion, this hotel is a disgrace for a 5* quality hotel. It's only because I like the Accor brand so much that I had to write this review and I hope that they will take actions. (The scoring on Tripadvisor is 100% fake too, since a lot of positive reviews come from one time reviewers. )
