This hotel used to be one of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai, close to Dubai airport and one of the best with conference centres. The hotel has an old charm but the issue i can see is that the hotel needs some kind of renovation to return back the old glory days. The rooms are spacious but still very old and the bathrooms fittings are from 1990s. The overall service was good. I dined in Roda Grill which has one of the best steaks i had tried in Dubai. I visited the lobby lounge had some pastries and coffee, was not pleased with the quality of the pasties. The breakfast was ok with plenty of options.

The hotel is a little older, but the price is very good. The service was amazing. Twice the reception (beatrice) did a lot of effort and upgraded us to a suite while the hotel was really full. (We are Accor platinum) . The breakfast is nice. The “happy hour” in the lounge limited to two drinks. The pool is super nice and big. Pool bar is relaxed as well With a little breeze. Next door is the meredien village, so when you want to go out, you don’t need a taxi. Enough restaurants, daily live bands and more.

The hotel is well located, near the airport, the hotel is very old need to be updated a bit, though the gym is excellent and the check in experience I had with « Beatrice » from Kenya was one of the best I have ever had, very kind, professional, smiling, interesting and funny. Believe me, after a long flight it’s quiet pleasant to have someone like Beatrice in front of you.

Staff is very nice, the room is large but mini bar was empty... The rooms shouls be more insulated as we hear too much noise or people talking in the nearby rooms... Specially the connected rooms door. Bathroom is clear but might need some refreshing as it started to look old. Breakfast was nice and rich and staff ready to help and friendly. Check in and check out was quick and room was ready at my arrival as I did a check in online. Overall was good and fair experience.

I booked on the website a room with Pool View, i ended up with a room with Highway view. (I was too much on the hurry for other calls to be able to come back again downstairs and argue about the room). The room looked old style. The carpet looked old and had stains in some place. The furniture looked so old style. I had no bathrobe. I'll pass on about the furniture. The worst was the noise from the cars outside when trying to sleep. The bed was also hard.

Room had a disinfect sign on the door but there was food stuck on the carpet with hair along with hair in the bath. We it was complained about they simply said we will let housekeeping know As a platinum member there was zero recognition

Very slow check in despite that it was done 2 days back online! Why? The priority aign for members never respected and no one asks you how they can help! Staff completely lost when it comes to Diamond member status. Lounge was closed but proposed to gave tge happy hour in the steak house. A big mess to get a drink, nany people were called and checked and you were sitting there embarrassed as if you were asking for a favor or bargaining! As for the newly introduced vouchers of 10Euros for Diamond members, no one knew about it and after many argues, I had to abandon because again it was embarrassing in front of other guests. What a shame!

You feel less than an occasional Guest despite that you are a Diamond one. 25 min to check in despite that it was done online 2 days in advance. No lounge open and 10 people needs to be called ti get the approval to have a drink and appetizers in their substition restaurant. No one was aware about the newly introduced 10 Euros offered vouchers and after 30 min discussion I had to leave without using them since it was embarrassing to argue @ the reception in front of many people. Thank you for making us feel special! and please if you want to answer with a generic response stating that the feedback will allow you to serve us better in future, just keep it for you.

Very disappointed in our stay

The reception staff were lovely i and I could not fault them at all. However the room I was allocated stank of smoke despite supposedly being non smoking. The carpet was dirty and stained, and 2 hours into our stay someone woke us up by knocking on the door asking if we could review the property. Not ideal when you have taken the prior 2 hours to get your baby to sleep.

This is by far the best non beach hotel I have stayed in since moving to work in Dubai. I stayed two nights and three days! Taqi on reception was fabulous, very polite and professional. My room was upgraded due to a booking error by the person I reserved with. The Deluxe room had direct access to the pool and whilst smaller than other rooms I’ve stayed in, the ease of getting to the pool area was greatly appreciated. The service in the breakfast area was amazing. Shibu cooks up a great scrambled egg, the other staff who served me whilst I was there were Farheen, Mohammad, Rendy and Charles. All of them were fabulous and so helpful. I loved their attention to detail and willingness to make your experience a good one. Jan by the poolside was attentive and made sure all the guests had what they needed. Abraham in IT support lent me a laptop and hdmi cable when my tv didn’t work. Amazing service and care! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would have stayed longer if the prices hadn’t increased exponentially from one day to the next. If I can get another great deal, I would certainly stay again.

As a Platinum member of the Accor loyalty programme I got a very good upgrade to the suite they know I like from previous visits so I kept cancelling my reservations elsewhere and extending my stay as the staff were all so nice to me and I felt at home. The members of staff were Aadil, Dilki, Melissa, Mohamed H, Mohammed K, Nikita, Stella, Sushil and Taqi on reception, Chandra, Lolita and Rubie in gazebo lounge, housekeepers Abbas, Dhan and Dishali, porters Hasan and Moorthy, housekeepers Abbas, Dhan and Dishali and a few more whose names I didn't get and it's thanks to all these people that I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. There were a few negative points like waiting for an hour for room service one night for just a salad and a frozen pizza. The waiter told me the chef was busy preparing suhoor as I was there during Ramadan but he should have been busy preparing my food first as he had all night to get the suhoor ready. Another night I was served faster but got the worst club sandwich I have ever had in my life, just white bread with a few things on it, hardly a club sandwich. I was not informed during the first part of my stay that the executive lounge service for Platinum members was available so I missed out on breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapés for several days until I was told about it one evening when checking back in. Another day they couldn't find my car which I had valet parked the night before. The valet on duty told me he couldn't drive(!) and said the car was in the underground car park and I had to go with him. It wasn't there so we went to the surface car park and couldn't find it either, I was going crazy at such inefficient service. Another porter and the security guard joined in the search and we finally found the car hidden away at the end of the surface car park. Note to valet parking - write the number of the parking space and location on the ticket!
