My room (1813) was located very close to another room and the doors were very loud when closing. I couldn't sleep for two nights as my neighbours were walking in and out. Also I asked for a statement of my expenditure last week and I'm still waiting for it. Thank you. Evgeny A.

Overall nice hotel and good amenities (cafe/bar) located within the hotel and close to CBD/train which is excellent. The room is nice and clean but small and no work desk so would not book this type of room for a work stay of more than 1 night, I'm sure other rooms would be suitable within the hotel or the Novotel co-located. Signposting between the Novotel and IBIS is reasonably clear and check in was OK. Couldn't get my work credit card to work on payment at check in (only place I had a problem) so was forced to use my personal credit card and I am still waiting for a proper invoice despite asking twice now.

Had been trying to visit melbourne for a bit of time however covid had affected this. We had extra credit to use on dining options. However there was only about 6 options to choose from due to a limited menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the last evening we had to move hotels due to the hotel becoming a quarantine hotel. This became a bit of a hassel without having much notice that we would have to move for our last night. Overall, a great hotel

Great stay. Room small but spaced well. Breakfast was basic but nice Disappointed though that my new go to hotel I n Melbourne for work is going to now be a quarantine property. This is frustrating as our work allowance for accommodation is mid range and as a platinum Accor member I am loyal and want to stay at Accor properties but you decent mid range properties are all converting to quarantine hotels meaning I have to find somewhere else. If I remain loyal I have to pay the difference out of my pocket...

Pros- the staff go above and beyond, great to see the buffet breakfast back, beautifully presented and clean rooms, central location. Cons- I didn't receive my gold member gift (may be trivial but I stay exclusively at Accor just for my privileges), I had a rate for Easter for $558 and only called my partner for a minute to ask her, and when I went back on it was up to nearly $900. I showed the staff at the reception and they couldn't care less. I mean I understand if it was 10-20 minutes apart but a couple of minutes??

Good hotel, nice amenities but could be better from people service perspective for example - 1) I had booked for a day and had given a hint while check-in that I may need to extend; I was told to confirm before 10 am the next day. The next day I call, but no one answers the reception for almost five repeated attempts across an hour... When a person answered, I was told he is not at the front of the computer, and I will need to physically come down to check if the room is available for extension. 2) as part of the express check out, I placed the card keys in the box located on the ground floor and left, but I am yet to get an invoice is an email.

Ibis Melbourne Central was the perfect location for a last minute overnight stay for me. Check in was prompt and seamless, my room was excellently appointed and sparkling clean. The bed was super comfortable, I had the best night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of selections, the hot cooked breakfast was spot on. In particular, the restaurant manager was professional, attentive and ensured the other staff were well trained. This is the first time in twelve months since COVID struck that I have seen this level of service in any restaurant/cafe. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you Ibis Melbourne Central, I look forward to my return.

I love this new hotel, this time it was nice and quiet due to low occupancy rate. However there is a problem with noisy heavy slamming room doors which needs to be resolved. The room is just gorgeous and the bed amazing. More attention needs to be paid to breakfast, (that used to be quite something) many items had dried out (pastry) and I wish there could be a little more choice.
