Really doesn't feel like a Pullman

I'm always let down in this hotel. I love the Pullman Brand - I actually prefer it over Sofitel - but each time I stay here it's underwhelming. It feels like a budget Pullman - some might call it a Mercure (maybe I should stay in the Mercure and see if it feels like a Pullman). The howling wind each night was disturbing as well. I've never noticed this before when staying here - so don't know why it was howling/whistling but each time someone opened a door to another room it diminished - but quickly picked up - all night long. The Lounge is average - the wines are horrible (I wish Accor would ditch Legacy - it's horrendous) and the lack of basic spirits is super disappointing. This has been like it for some time. I can't believe that you won the best lounge award - but I note that it was a few years ago when the exec lounge was exceptional. There's no way you'd win that award now. When I got to my room, there was a card on the bed for someone else (I assume the welcome letter) - I rang reception to say that the card was addressed to another person and I never heard anymore. And then I got a message saying I'd left my Bra behind - super strange given I've never worn one. This used to be an amazing hotel. I loved it pre-COVID - but post covid, I should just go and stay at the Novotel or one of the other many Accor properties in Melbourne. I wish it was better. One saving grace was the restaurant on level 14 - thankfully that was amazing, the food really good and the lady who served me both nights was exceptional. I wish I got her name.

Having read some mixed reviews about this hotel I was initially skeptical however from the moment I entered I have been blown away by the service and friendliness of staff especially Kalil who went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. Great location next to the all shops. Room nice and clean. Great lounge with cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast and good canapés in the evening. Will be definitely visiting again.

A Great Hotel

We had a two night stay in this hotel. The tunnel entrance is unique and staff are very welcoming. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included in our booking and was certainly plentiful. The rooftop Blossom bar has great views over the city and the wood fired pizzas are delicious. We have already booked another two nights in December! Can’t wait!
