Kerrie C. Friends - Confirmed reviews ALL

The room, whilst of the layout we booked had a terrible outlook. We were moved to a slightly better outlook. The door of the room was very squeaky, I have a video. A tray from room service was in the hallway around 8or 9pm on the Friday night, was still there at 9am and still there at 11am. We had to tell the desk. When I booked in, it was early in the day as we wer off a cruise ship. The desk said they would call me when the room was ready. They didn't call. When I went to the desk at 2pm the girl said she had called. I got out my phone and you could see there hadn't been any calls. This was disappointing. On the first morning we attempted to go Mezzanine for breakfast. There was nothing in the lift to tell us we could get a lift, we looked around the reception area but no one came to us. We tried the single lift and it too didn't have a M floor. I had to help my elderly friend up the many stairs, even though she isn't able to do stairs due to a knee problem. Restaurant advised that lots of people have trouble and they have asked the hotel to put a sign up telling guests how to access the restaurant. Next morning I got the lift that I was told went to M, only to find the M button was broken and you still couldn't get to M unless by stairs. This is appalling and shows a distinct lack of caring for all guests and in particular those not able bodied. On the Saturday, we returned to our rooms to find the purple bed covers just sitting in a pile on the floor. This is how we left them after unpacking the day before. So the person who did our room just ignored them. This is not acceptable in a good hotel, or any hotel for that matter. Late afternoon we both pulled the doonas off our beds as we don't sleep with them. I would like you to imagine our horror to find that the bottom of both beds had not been made and our feet were to be on the mattress protector, which is obviously not changed on every guest. They sent a great person up who stripped the beds and remade them. Telling us that 'they' often send the wrong size sheets and the instructions for the house maids is the tuck the sheet in at the head of the bed and not worry bout the bottom. What on earth is this. This shows an absolute lack of caring, responsibility, follow through with contractors, training. I washed my hair on the second morning and had to go to breakfast with wet hair. There was no hair dryer in the room. I don't know of ANY hotel or serviced apartment that doesn't supply a hair dryer. On the Saturday when our room was done, the person took our room card, leaving us with just one. This was difficult as I had to go out when my friend was showering. I am sure there are more things to this but I hope this gives you an idea of just how poorly your hotel is run, managed. It is impossible to recommend your property - in fact I believe it needs an honest Google review. For $550 per night, this is an absolute joke, a rip off, a disappointment. An experience never to be repeated. After two nights at Pullman City Centre, I moved up Bourke Street to Citadines. I had an excecutive bedroom suite for around $290 per night. This did not include breakfast. However every aspect of Citadines was satisfactory. I cannot fault it. I await a response from you.
