Valet Parking Incident at Pullman Melbourne City Centre I handed my car keys to the receptionist at the Pullman Hotel on 15 August for valet parking. As a paying guest, I paid the valet parking fee and trusted the hotel to safely park my vehicle and ensure the security of both my car and my personal belongings. At no point was I informed where my vehicle would be parked. When I checked out and went to collect my car at approximately 10:00 a.m. on 16 August, the Assistant Front Office Manager, Kalil, informed me that the rear right-side window of my car had been smashed and that my Coach backpack and its contents (including business laptop, Sunglasses etc) had been stolen. I was then told that my vehicle had been parked at Wilson Parking. I do not understand why my car was parked at Wilson Parking when I had specifically entrusted it to the hotel’s valet parking service. I am extremely concerned about the way my vehicle was handled and the level of security provided. I was also surprised and distressed when I was advised to arrange repairs through my own car insurance. I do not understand why I was asked to bear responsibility for the damage when my vehicle was under the care of the hotel’s valet parking service. This incident has had a significant impact on both my personal daily life and my business. I entrusted my vehicle to the valet parking service at a five-star hotel and reasonably expected a much higher standard of care, security, and professionalism. I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with the way this matter has been handled. I believe that the security of my vehicle and belongings was not adequately protected, and I would like a clear explanation as to: * Why my vehicle was parked at Wilson Parking instead of at the hotel. * Why I was not informed in advance that my vehicle would be parked off-site. * What security measures were in place to protect vehicles parked through the hotel’s valet service. * Why I was advised to claim the damage through my own insurance. I expect a full investigation into this incident and a prompt response addressing these concerns.

I was extremely disappointed with my overall experience at Pullman Melbourne City Centre. Having chosen a five-star Accor property, I expected a much higher standard of service, hospitality and attention to guests. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment I checked in. My initial interaction at reception with the Assistant Manager, Yunita and Carlos Maldondo extremely disappointed and they were unaccomdating and rude . There was very little warmth or assistance offered, and when it came to our luggage, rather than being offered any help, we were simply directed towards the lift. This was certainly not the level of service I expected from a five-star hotel. I am also an Accor member with a 30% food and beverage discount. During our stay, Blossom Rooftop was closed for a private function, which meant we were unable to dine there. I asked whether room service could be arranged while still honouring my 30% Accor food and beverage benefit given that the hotel’s dining venue was unavailable. Despite explaining the circumstances and showing my membership benefit, I was charged the full price. Unfortunately, a similar situation occurred again on my final day. We visited Blossom, but were told there was an issue with the till/system. Once again, despite showing my Accor card and clearly advising that I was entitled to the 30% discount, we were charged the full amount. A system issue at the hotel should not result in a guest losing a membership benefit they are entitled to receive. There were also several smaller details that collectively made the stay feel well below a five-star standard. There were no slippers provided in the room, and I found the breakfast buffet selection quite limited compared with what I would normally expect from a hotel positioned at this level. What disappointed me most was not simply one isolated issue, but the overall lack of warmth, hospitality and willingness to assist throughout the stay. From the reception experience and lack of luggage assistance to the repeated issues with my Accor dining benefit, I did not feel valued as either a hotel guest or an Accor member. I had chosen Pullman expecting a premium five-star experience, particularly as an Accor member, but sadly the experience did not live up to those expectations. I would appreciate Pullman reviewing the food and beverage charges where my 30% Accor benefit was not honoured and arranging the appropriate reimbursement. I would also appreciate management addressing the service concerns raised above. Based on this experience, I am extremely disappointed and, unfortunately, would be very reluctant to stay at this property again.
