The location is perfect. 10 minutes each way from the front door and you have Melbourne at your fingertips. The rooms are clean, tidy, well appointed and a little Melbourne decal inside your room. Club Elevate is worth the extra. Breakfast, all day beverages and evening canapés and drinks is such a nice treat. Have the Zucchini Fritters, yum. Beds so comfy. Rain head showers. Quite solid Rooms but being in the city, some usual noise. Windows that open a little for some fresh air, love it. Great hotel. Great staff. Club Elevate deals the deal.

We spent 2 nights at the Pullman city centre and although the weather was miserable, we were close enough to walk around for shopping and dining. We had drinks and a pizza at the rooftop bar, Blossoms, on one night and were happy with both the food and service. In the morning, we ate breakfast at the restaurant, Eva's, and again were pleased with the food and service. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I booked 2 nights in this hotel for a special birthday getaway. Upon check-in day we were given a note to say the hotel had no water (not even for the toilets) until 4 pm that day. This was duly completed on time, however the water ran cloudy for a couple of hours and didn't look safe to drink. We were also each given a voucher for a free drink per night, but told the bar wasn't open the first night, so we had to wait until the second night to receive our two free drinks then. The next morning breakfast was good. We went out exploring the city only to arrive back at approx 5 pm to find our room had not been serviced. When I rang reception, I was incredulous when told "Oh we are very busy today so we are only servicing the rooms where people are checking out!" I said "Are you telling me there is nobody in the entire hotel who can tidy up the room?" The reply was "We are very sorry but we cannot help you". When I asked for clean towels and the bins emptied, they agreed they could manage that. So, on my special birthday instead of relaxing I was making the bed and cleaning the bathroom etc AND paying for the privilege!! On top of this I booked the stay through Luxury Escapes. Not the luxury I was looking for.

Like many other reviews, there seems to be a recurring story with the stays. I booked through Luxury Escapes expecting a 5 * hotel booked through them to be faultless, and it was a Pullman Hotel. This is not a Pullman experience, not a Luxury escapes experience and not a 5* experience. The Good... Great location Rooms were lovely and also clean We found the rooms quiet Breakfast was excellent The Disappointing ... The check in process was the longest and most tedious I have ever experienced There were 2 people in front of us and we waited 30mins I said that we were a Luxury escapes booking with complimentary drinks each night and breakfast included .. the receptionist nodded her head When we tried to use this upstairs in the bar they needed a coupon - of course I was not willing to experience the reception again We did not know where to go for breakfast - such basic information We had 2 rooms booked - was able to access the 'King Room' and unpacked some items and were told they would call when the Queen was ready - No Call - we came back to the hotel a few hours later and what an excruciating experience trying to get the key for the 2nd room. The receptionist was robotic - did not listen to us regarding returning for the second key and after 3 times of explaining, them trying to take credit card details again was given the 2nd key. We went upstairs to the 2nd Room which was actually the King - I repacked and moved my gear to the second room - it was frustrating the receptionist had the room types incorrect on check-in. The next day we asked if our rooms could be serviced earlier - were told no cleaning until 2pm-5pm REALLY !! Noone ever at Guest Services so frustrating. Noisy A/C and 18 degrees to have the room somewhat at a 22 degree level - was quite warm in rooms. The door key on 3 occasions did not work - on the 3rd time having to go back down to reception I insisted someone check the lock - of course I was nodded at and no one came. The upstairs restaurant was extremely underwhelming in decor, it felt very benign and plastic ...the staff were wonderful. It was a cold and robotic staff experience where it felt no one really helped or had personality to make the stay a warm and memorable one.

AJJ81 Families - TripAdvisor review

We have come to Melbourne for our Daughters 14th birthday and are loving our stay at the hotel. I am a Platinum Member, arrived early before checkin but our room wasn’t ready so they took care of our bags while we went to lunch and gave us access to the club lounge to have a coffee and soft drink for the kids while we waited for the room Natalie the manager assisted us with checkin and when found out we were celebrating a birthday sent a gift to the room!! The family rooms are very spacious we are in 616 which is also away from street noise. The club has an amazing breakfast and evening club access from 5-7pm. Ralph in the club has provided amazing service this morning and we had the perfect breakfast to start the day.
