The staff were lovely, the check in process was excellent. The condition of the hotel overall was poor. The reception area, hallways and both our rooms are in need of an upgrade, the sofa in reception looked old, stained and worn out, as was the carpets. The shower screen in the room I stayed in was not sliding as it should, and the window tint was peeling off. There was also an empty ziplock bag hanging over the curtain rail around the shower, which I imagine had been left from a previous guest. I have stayed in several Ibis locations previously across Victoria, NSW and Qld, a few have been budget like this one, but all have been in better condition. Again, the location and service from reception staff was excellent, just the overall condition of the hotel was less than I have previously experienced and come to expect from an Accor/Ibis hotel.
