I asked for room away from the lift, the room couldnt have been closer to it. Upon request was then shifted to a different room. I was glad I was on my own, the room was small and noisy. I guess its an old building, but there was no sound proofing whatsoever. The bathroom was tiny, but was renovated. There was only 1 lift, so you either waited a long time or used the stairs. 11am checkout was nice though. For the price it was ok.

The bed was so uncomfortable we had to go to Kmart and purchase an air bed. Having extensively travelled and previously stayed at Mecure properties this was very unexpected. Since visiting ive read all of the google reviews and this is reported constantly.

We enjoyed staying here on our first trip to Melbourne! Location, location, location!!! If you love shopping, eating and having coffee, this is your spot! Well known coffee spots up the street first thing in the morning at your pleasure! Shopping accessible right outside the hotel. Coffee shops including Patricia, Maker Coffee, and Brother Baba Budan just up the street. Lots of places to eat from desserts, drinks, and meals at your leisure! If you like staying in the CBD, this is your spot! Room was fine and reasonable for the price. Shower was great with nice pressure and amenities were also great! Highly recommended!

Was overall great but the lift situation needs to improve. Two weeks ago I was there with the lift not working and back last week and it was out for major maintenance, this hotel cannot survive with one of two lifts
