Well located but mess around the train station is a negative as those who go outside to have a cigarette are subjected to filth and a large number of vagrants.

Great 3 days with the kids, excellent basis to explore the city (also check Batobus, which stops at 15 min walking distance in Jardin des Plantes)

This was a great location for us. Close to both Metro and RER. A short walk from Gare de Lyon. Immaculately cleaned rooms and pleasant staff. An easy walk to the river with easy stroll along it to many of the sites.
