The reception staff was friendly and efficient although my late evening check in. The station is very convenient for late train arrival. The room was well prepared and nicely cleaned. The bed was comfortable. Would be great to have option for side sleepers pillow for better neck support. The safe was locked at my arrival so I couldn't use it. However it was not necessary for 1 night. After my departure the hotel reached out , that they found an item (an ID card) in the room, but very clearly that was not mine, it was a bit strange that the hotel shared somebody's ID card picture with me. I don't find that very safe and somewhat gives out private details of individuals, maybe this practice should be reviewed and the staff could only contact the person who needed, the hotel must have a record who stayed in the room before me.

Absence of air conditioning at all times and days is unacceptable for any 4-5 star hotel. Rudeness of the bartender Mark is not something I have seen in any other dining establishments in Europe (he was asking to make space for other customers as soon as we have finished the drinks which we bought from the hotel, and wouldn't allow us, hotel guests, to continue our conversation at the table). My request to speak with the manager was met in a friendly fashion by the front desk clerk, but manager has not contacted me in the following 3 days.

Im asking for the local tax paid at the hotel's invoice & have sent reminders too!. Nobody responds to an email. Pathetic service!

The location is perfect for departing and arriving to and from the Gare de Lyon, of course. We had an efficient check in experience allowed to check in quite early and were upgraded to an executive room. The room was comfortable and spacious though it was difficult to get the A/C to work to cool the room off appropriately. I still love the Karma bathroom amenities and the small pool is great for a quick dip. The fitness room is small but functional so that is nice. The bartenders are friendly and the front desk staff efficient. So no complaints there. My only qualm was that when I tried to start the kettle for tea on the morning of our second stay, we blew a fuse so had no lighting. My husband informed the front desk but it wasn’t resolved prior to our departure. I would reserve again if we needed convenient accommodations to Gare de Lyon.
