It was fine, but for the price, it was extremely basic. No amenities, on shower gel for everything (hair, hand, body), one tiny little hand soap bar (no soap dish), no iron. Really stripped of all the reasons I like to go to a hotel.

Check-in got us off to a poor start. The duty check-in lady insisted we had reserved 3 rooms, not two, the third room being for 4 people. She also insisted that we would have to pay the reservation charge of 230€ for the third room which we hadn't reserved, then changed it, when we protested, to a credit note to be used only at that particular hotel at any time in the future. Meanwhile, she was getting more and more flusered bnecause she was unable to work the check-in desk computer. Later in the afternoon, when there had been a change of staff, the new receptionist said she could see nothing regarding all that on our account, that we had reserved just the two rooms as we claimed, and that no extra charges were to be made. Was the first receptionist on the make, thinking that as we are English we probably either wouldn't understand, or couldn't speak enough French to object or complain? We'll never know, but it has left us with an uncomfortable mistrust of Accor Novotel Gare de Lyon. Check-in took well over half an hour as a result of her shenanigens. Other than that, the rooms were as standard for a Novotel, the cleaning staff were brilliant and helpful, and we ate well in the restaurant.

Stay was very good in terms of location, room and reception encounter service. However the great experience we faced as described was going down due to the very poor experience we’ve got at restaurant in regards allergies. In particular gluten free options and most importance staff knowledge and willingness to know. At breakfast only bread and cake was offered and when asking for normal gluten free food ( like could be fruit, boiled eggs, or cold meats) staff showed like annoyed by the questions and referred us back to the only two options I mentioned. For dinner experience was even worst, they announce gluten free menu and they don’t have one, staff not well prepared and again if you try to ask they show being annoyed… we have been in many many hotels and this one can’t announce they are gluten free prepared just because they have gluten free bread… very disappointing! Other than this hotel is beautiful , well connected and reception staff very nice .

It is pleasure to notice you liked almost all service in our hotel as the courtesy of the staff at the reception, the new decoration of the hotel after the refurbishment of 2020 or the location that is perfect to discover or beautiful city. Indeed, the connection with the very close railway station and the many metro lines are very convenient. However, i really apologize for your experience at the restaurant regarding your request of gluten free. For the breakfast of course we are some fruits and other standards products and with Mattihas we are preparing a new buffet with more gluten free products ! Moreover, of course we can do special meals at the restaurant with vegetables for instance. Matthias will talk to his team because their behaviour do not seem to be the one we wish in our hotel. An excellent stay. Great location. Very convenient parking. Comfortable immaculate room. Decent view. Stunning swimming pools with proper hours. Staff lovely. The only thing to fault is the breakfast: expensive and limited range and nothing out of the ordinary. In 2021 the quality and wholesomeness needs to be top priority.

I am a regular Platinum Accor customer, and especially of this hotel, rather well located and where we can get some silence - and thus rest. This time was a frustrating experience. Not only the bed was not prepared as requested (with sheet and blankett instead of a duvet), but the receptionist insisted upon departure that I had not pre-paid the full amount, despite the fact that he colleague upon arrival confirmed that I did. I had to pay an extra amount to then raise a request for refund - which will take at least 2 weeks. On top of that, the hotel insists on charging systematically breakfast, although I never take it. It starts to get on my nerves and i question my loyalty.

My sister stayed for a night in this hotel few days ago. I was not aware that I booked another room on the same day. My sister tried to explain to the hotel that I was not aware of this and if they can refund the other charges they made.. They told my sister they can't refund it back due to their policy, instead they offered another night for my sister to stay and pay extra 20 Euros. 200 Euros to charged in a room that is not used is for me not right... It's a lot of money to take for another booking that I am not aware of..

Well located, the room was very good and clean and quiet. breakfast was good.

I came to watch the tennis tournament in Accor Arena. Thats why I looked for an hotel near by and not very expensive :). happy to have found this one. very good comparing to price in all aspects. also 1 min from the gare de lyon which helped a lot.

Proved to be an excellent location due to limitations of transport due to strikes. Excellent service, helpful and smiling stuff willing to assist, the room was ready early as we arrived in the morning, very clean rooms and the cleaning ladies deserve the best and a quite rich breakfast. Enjoyed every day and night during our Xmas holidays.

The hotel was undergoing some refurbishment and there were workmen working in the next room. Lots of noise, plastic sheeting in the corridors. Although tea and coffee were provided in the room there were only paper cups, rather spoit the experience. Overall disappointing for the price.

We stayed for one week. In spite of building works in the hotel, we met really friendly hotel-people from Novotel. Many thanks for your cheerful engagement during this hard time for you. The only missing point from our point of view was the below average heating in the hotel room.

Stayed 2 nights. Everything is good but the cleanliness around the hotel building is average (also smell like Paris). Breakfast for Adult costs EUR 16 but for a family with 2 kids, average is about EUR 8 per person and is reasonable.

The hotel is perfectly situated next to the Gare De Lyon. Perfect for exploring Paris. From start to finish the staff were brilliant, always quick to meet our needs. The room was spacious with a great view if the square. The breakfast included each morning was perfect with 2 rooms available, one being a family room equipped with entertainers. Nothing like starting the day dancing with a Smurf. The pool was a great addition which the kids enjoyed plus the kids area in the lobby was a lifesaver. Great hotel with lovely staff.

Mixed feelings about this hotel as we had to move room due to a couple of issues. The hotel is in a good location and the room was clean and comfortable but the matter of plastic glasses & paper cups for the mini bar & coffee machine does not lend itself to this Accor brand. Presumably this is being done on cutting hotel costs and increasing margins but by doing so does not sit well with environmental concerns.

Great hotel close to train station

We booked 2 rooms here as we were arriving late by train. The hotel is adjacent to the station. The rooms were impeccably clean, roomy and bathroom had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. Check in was quick; staff very friendly.
