I’ve stayed in this hotel twice in the last 12 months. It is well located, very clean and comfortable, staff are very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, on both stays we have been woken by the fire alarm early in the morning and had to evacuate, because of someone drying their hair with the hairdryer. While I appreciate the smooth evacuation and calmness of the staff, the issue needs to be addressed.

The hotel is very well located, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was also very clean throughout. The only downside is that the rooms are quite small. If possible, I would recommend asking for a room facing the street, as they tend to get much more natural light and feel more spacious. Overall, a very pleasant stay, thanks especially to the wonderful staff.

We stayed here for a few days in July, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now when I’m in Paris. The staff are lovely, the rooms are very comfortable (with AC, which was a relief during the heatwave!), and the location is great for exploring the city. A special mention to Liliana on reception, who rescued our son’s cuddly toy when he left it behind after we had checked out and was so kind about it. She is a superstar!

Very comfortable room, well equipped bathroom, friendly, helpful, efficient service both at reception and breakfast room, excellent location next to Metro, restaurants, shops. The people at reception were charming. One disappointment…..limited variety / choice at breakfast. I previously stayed at an Ibis (lower grade hotel) in the same area several times but it had a much better breakfast choice and indeed quality of coffee, breads, eggs (facility to boil your own) etc . I thought the Mercury Voltaire breakfast would be better. Strange?

Happy to return to this hotel. Staff always friendly and helpful. A good location with easy metro access. The recent changes are mostly positive especially the decor. But considering the room rate increases I’m surprised the room minibar/fridges have gone. Also the gym has no treadmill. Breakfast remains good value but I noticed that scrambled eggs were served virtually cold

Great location, good metro connections, clean, with friendly staff. Double glazing kept the street noise out and the aircon was a godsend in the summer heatwave. Staff were friendly and the breakfasts were lovely.

Our visit was for a special occasion - my mother's upcoming 80th birthday - and it was my mother's first visit to France. The attention paid to our comfort was beyond our expectations before, and throughout our stay. Mum arrived earlier than I was due, and she had travelled from New Zealand. The staff looked after her, and I felt reassured when my Eurostar ran late, as I knew she was in good hands. Coming home to the hotel after days out during an extreme heatwave, the complimentary refreshments and the space to sit, relax and cool down was appreciated. The privilege room was peaceful, clean and comfortable. The coffee, tea and cold drinks included in the rate made it very good value

We really enjoyed our stay at Mercure Paris Bastille Marais. Well located to the metro, buses, bars and restaurants. We appreciated the air conditioning during the heat wave and generous availability of coffee and water. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Had a great experience at the hotel. I stayed there for a week and everyone who worked the front desk was friendly and helpful. I was able to check in a couple of hours early which was greatly appreciated after a long-haul flight. The selection at breakfast was amazing, I really appreciated the variety of items. Very convenient location with the metro so close and a lot of great restaurants in the neighborhood. The room was a decent size for the city and the bed was comfortable. The only issue is there were noises during the night; it was from outside and I don’t know if it was from the metro or something else. It wasn’t from the other rooms, I never heard anything through the walls. Overall, the hotel was quiet.
