Very comfortable room, friendly staff, and a very decent breakfast buffet. Strange to have €300 reserved on my credit card to cover 'extras', when the room was prepaid (including breakfast) and there were no 'extras' available :-)

The room was infested with bugs and worms

Je m'excuse pour le délai de ma réponse suite à votre premier mail du 29 Juillet. En effet, je souhaitais m'entretenir avec les équipes présentes pendant le séjour de votre fille avant de vous apporter une réponse. Je tiens à vous rassurer et vous confirmer que le ménage est bien effectué tous les jours dans les chambres. La présence d'insectes dans un lieu quel qu'il soit n'est pas forcément dû à un manque de nettoyage. Aussi nos équipes sont disponibles 24h/24h et je reste persuadé que nous aurions apporté une solution immédiate à votre fille si nous avions eu connaissance de cette situation dés le soir même, voire le lendemain. J'ai moi-même était vérifié cette chambre dès le Lundi sans trouver de traces mais nous restons en alerte en cas d'un autre signalement. Malgré vos regrets, nous espérons avoir le plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau dans notre hôtel et je me ferai un plaisir de m'occuper personnellement de votre réservation. My stay was 9 nights. 1)Housekeeping was very chaotic and intermittent. They have no tags to hang on the door, so when I was gone, no one came, and when I was there, they walked right in. 2) There was no English-language station on the TV for the entire 9 days. A 4-star hotel should have an English-language station. They claimed it would be fixed in mid-July. I believe I should have a refund of at least one nights stay.

It is true that there are no signs "do not disturb / clean the room" because following government directives we are still not allowed to put them back. Housekeeping staff and housekeeping staff management have nothing to do with it. Also, our TV channel provider has indeed had a problem on the transmission of channels totally beyond our control. Believe us, we contacted them every day so that they could fix the problem. The hotel also has the small rooms typical for Paris, but is nice and clean. I got a room to the backside on upper floor and slept very well. Staff was very friendly and attentive and spoke good English.

The hotel is well located. The hygiene could however be improved upon. In the midst of a COVID 19 crisis, it would be wise to change the towels and clean the bathroom daily. Not doing so increases the risk for infection not only for the customers but for the entire hotel, including the personnel.

If our customers need some clean towels, they ask to the reception, and the housekeeping put it in front of their room door. Be sure that we do everything to ensure the safety of our customers, for example : - The communal areas of the hotel are disinfected every four hours - We provide hydroalcoholic gel - The spaces are delimited by a marking on the floor - We work with a laboratory that assesses the correct application of hygiene measures in our hotel. Hotel is situated next to the Voltaire metro. Comfortable rooms with A/C that works especially for hot summer days. Hotel is clean and very easy to get around Paris

late night check in due to an emergency check out at airbnb with an amazing nightporter who called me back on my mobile as I refused to pay the room rate and offered the online conditions as special treatment. We changed our mind, booked, were upgraded to a higher floor on day 2 and overall impressed by the team of this Hotel.

Overall excellent experience in this hotel. Great service. Only con: could not change my booking online. I had to contact the hotel directly. However the manager was extremely helpful.

A very pleasant and friendly hotel right next to a Metro station which makes it very easy to get to and from. Very nice room and good breakfast. It is right next to a square which has plenty of shops and bistros, a couple of which we thought were very good.

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful would stay again, rooms were a great size, maybe we were lucky and was allocated a good one, but a great experience even though there were some demonstrations about the trains, never felt threatened at all close to some lovely restaurants too

It would have been nice to get a 50cl bottle of water a day, and the room was very warm.

As a silver member, I'm supposed to get a free drink, I guess this was the 50cl bottle of water , which was a bit rubbish. It would have nice to get one of these per day at over 200 Euros per night. The room was als very warm and the A/C only made it warmer. I had to sleep with the balcony doors open, although luckily these opened onto the courtyard so it was reasonably quiet. The bed was also a bit hard for me.

Noisiest hotel ever

The room was ok, a bit tired looking, bed comfortable. The bathroom not bad, a bit dark with dark red decor so not ideal, but with very thin scratchy towels. The mini bar console looked like it was about to collapse. The main issue is that this hotel is located near a very busy junction. We stayed on the 8th floor of the hotel (in the best room available) and the noise from the street is somehow funnelled up the tall buildings directly to the room. It was a warm October weekend so the room was very stuffy - but the air conditioning was switched off for the winter, so we had to have a window open. This meant that sleep was almost impossible. Every five minutes a siren goes by, or a noisy scooter, or a trash truck or a crowd of drunken people... The only way we were able to sleep was with sleeping pills, eventually passing out exhausted at 2am. We were due to stay 3 nights but gave up after the 2nd night and moved to a much more peaceful (but expensive) hotel. The Mercure were kind enough to give us a 20% discount on our room rate for the 2 nights, so they did the best they could I suppose. But sadly I'm unlikely to ever stay in a Mercure again - at least not in Paris.

We arrived for our 2 night stay to be told there was a technical issue and we would have to stay in another hotel. The man at reception told us he would call the taxi but 10 mins later he still hadn't called one. Then eventually a taxi was called and the receptionist went out to the taxi when it arrived and sent it away again. We then had to wait a total of 45mins before we were eventually told we could stay in the hotel we had booked and paid for. No apology or nice gesture for wasting our time. Location was fine but overall you could do better for the price paid.
