I booked our stay at this hotel for my husbands 40th birthday. We are also celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this year so wanted to stay somewhere special in the city where he proposed over 16 years ago. The hotel was perfect for a romantic weekend. We arrived at the hotel early and were given a lovely warm welcome. We were just hoping to leave our cases but we were pleasantly surprised to be told our room was ready and we could check in. Throughout our stay all staff were very welcoming and eager to help with any questions/requests we had. I booked a privilege room on the 8th floor and the room was beautiful with the biggest bed I have ever seen. The room was perfectly proportioned for our stay and I loved that the bathroom had a separate shower and bath. The room was very clean and the new decor was lovely. The dressing gowns could do with a little fabric softener to fluff them up but they were still a great addition to the room along with the slippers and fancy coffee machine. We really appreciated having a fridge in the room and loved that we were given a glass bottle when checking in for us to use in the room. They had a water machine in the lobby that dispensed still and sparkling water. The water machine was really handy for filling our own water bottles each morning before setting off on our adventures. As we were on the 8th floor, it was very quiet and peaceful in our room and the view was spectacular. Looking out over the roof tops of Paris with Montmarte in the distance was very special and seeing the Sacré-Coeur lit up at night was something else. A view we will never forget. The location of the hotel is perfect with a metro station very close. We didn't use the metro much as we preferred to walk from the hotel to destinations like Notre-Dame. The location felt very safe in the day and night which is what you want in a city and the choice of restaurants around the hotel was great. A few days before we travelled I received an email from the hotel to inform me that the lift was broken and they were working hard to fix it. I received another email to say it had been fixed. When we arrived at the hotel the lift had broken again and they had engineers on site trying to fix it which they did very quickly with little disruption to guests. I was very impressed with the staffs communication before and during our stay. Our whole stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. We are already planning our next visit! Thank you to all the staff.

We were a family of 4, traveling with 2 kids ages 7 and 12. My daughter actually turned 12 during our stay and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make her stay special. Because of the size of the rooms, we had 2 rooms for 1 adult/1 child each. The hotel decorated the room for my daughter's birthday, and it was a delightful surprise that made our stay even more special. The hotel location was great since the Metro is literally in front of the hotel making moving around the city quick and convenient. The rooms were recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. Our only request for next time would be a room that does not face the street as it can be a bit noisy, but other than that it was an exceptional stay. Will choose this hotel for our next visit to Paris.

The elevator was constantly broken, and the breakfast options were very limited and poorly replenished.
