Check in was accomplished with out any problems. The rooms were nicely furnished and well appointed. There was an excellent choice of food and drink for breakfast. If use of a car is not required, the light rail that runs thru Almada is a very short walk away, and connects to ferries that cross the river to, amongst other destinations, Lisbon. Parking beneath the hotel is easily accessed. Check out was smooth.

We were very well greeted at the Mercure and all our requests were properly answered. We asked for two connected rooms with extra beds for the kids and when we arrived everything was according to the expectations. Very clean and neat rooms, quite comfortable. Breakfast was very good, parking was included and overall we had a very good experience.

We did not get the call back re our request to extend our departure by 2 hours as did the newly weds -our daughter who just got married. So returning late after the wedding( in early hours of morning) we asked the night receptionist ( a different young man) about not having a call back & if we could extend the time. He said yes but he made us pay 10e cash immediately and did not give us a receipt!
