Good option for a stay in Paris

I had a good stay at this hotel. It is generally well maintained and very clean. The hotel’s overall design is basic but pleasant; I particularly liked the colorful, fun-painted lobby. From the downsides, I can only mention the outdated and very small elevator. All the staff were nice and friendly to me. My check-in was fast and easy. The hotel’s location is a bit tricky – it really depends on your preferences and goals. The hotel is in a nice, clean, quiet, and safe neighborhood right near the border with Paris. There are some cafes, restaurants, and a couple of grocery shops nearby. You can reach central Paris by train, bus, or taxi (an Uber to the Louvre cost me about €17). Another option is to grab an electric scooter or bike through a ride app once you cross into the Paris side. It’s also possible to walk, I did it a couple of times. My walk from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower took about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and it was actually enjoyable since all the neighborhoods I passed were nice-looking and safe. But keep in mind, if you want to stay near the main sights and in the heart of Paris, this hotel isn’t the right choice. I stayed in a Studio Room (#306), which was spacious enough, pleasantly decorated in a simple style, and comfortable overall. The room was clean, except for the large closet, which was dusty inside; to be honest, I felt gross putting my clothes there. I really loved being on the 3rd floor: I had a partial city view (I could even see the top of the Eiffel Tower!), my room got lots of natural daylight from the long window, and I could always get fresh air when I opened the window. All the furniture in my Studio was in good condition. The main downside was the outdated small TV. The bed (two twin beds pushed together) was comfortable. A big plus was the little kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, and some other basic kitchen supplies. The bathroom was medium-sized but ugly and cheaply designed, reminding me of a basic hospital bathroom. The shower stall was tiny, yellowish, and nasty-looking. The two glass shower doors didn’t close properly, leaving gaps that caused water from the shower to leak all over the floor. The shower itself was old, with poor water pressure; and the drain was partly blocked, so the water took a while to go down. The bathroom amenities were cheap and smelled bad. The towels were also terrible – small, thin, and stiff. On the positive side, the Wi-Fi in my room worked very well and fast. A couple more notes: the hotel is pet-friendly, charging a very reasonable €4 per night for pets. On the downside, the rooms still use heavy metal keys with oversized round keychains, which were uncomfortable to carry around. For my 3-night stay I paid €445 (€148 per night), which I find overpriced for such a basic hotel, especially considering the location far from central Paris. I believe the fair price should be about half of what I paid. Can I recommend this hotel? I would say yes – especially if you find a cheaper rate than I got. If you don’t mind staying on the edge of Paris and using public transport to get around, you’ll be fine here. But personally, after experiencing it once, I don’t think I would stay at this hotel again.

Very comfortable apartment with all facilities we needed for our stay. Nice beds, clean bathroom. Location was very convenient and to be able to secure a parking space was a great benefit.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your excellent rating and very positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a pleasant stay and that you enjoyed the comfort of the apartment, the quality of the facilities, and the cleanliness of the bathroom. Providing a well-equipped, functional, and comfortable space is a top priority for us, so that each guest can feel at home during their stay. We are also pleased that our location suited your needs. Being close to public transport while having access to a secure parking space is certainly a great benefit, especially in a city like Paris. It will be a pleasure to welcome you again. Peace & quiet in Vanves-Malakoff

I booked a single studio for my 3 night stay in Paris. Easy check-in by passcode supplied via email, as reception was closed when i arrived late Sunday night. Room was spotless, with en-suite shower, great mini kitchen facilities (kettle, microwave, fridge, saucepans, cups, plates and cutlery, washing up liquid), plenty of wardrobe space and a comfortable bed. TV with French language channels. Few supermarkets within a 10 mins walking distance plus a lovely boulangerie ("Le Grenier A Pain") for morning pastries. I didn't pay extra for breakfast at the aparthotel, but the free coffee machine for all guests was a welcome bonus plus a refill water station. Also within a 5 mins walking distance to the Vanves–Malakoff train station that takes you (via onwards metro link at Montparnasse) to central Paris in approx 40 minutes. Could see a glimpse of the hourly Tour Eiffel light show through my room window! Tip: buy the Navigo Easy day pass (12 euros) for unlimited day travel. The distance from the main sights and time taken to travel there and back was the only negative point for me. I'll book a more central hotel next time. Merci beaucoup!
