The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was mediocre at best (we had lunch and breakfast at the restaurant); the sheets and towels had stains on them and the beds felt like sleeping on wooden planks. I couldn't believe this was considered luxury. The pool was in the shade and covered so it wasn't very nice to hang out at as it felt cold and uncomfortable...home to several birds when we went up. It felt very overpriced for what we experienced.

For the second stay at Ibis Styles Phuket city where I booked 2- room family lux with 1 double bed and 1 two-level kids bed I was told that was upgraded to stay in Novotel. At the beginning I was excited, but then see the room… ordinary super small double room with two extra beds. It was so small, we couldn’t open the luggage on the floor - no space. So I believe that was not an upgrade, but an overbooking of suites in Ibis. If you really want to excite your guests, you would accommodate at the same type of rooms in Novotel.

The staff were great, exactly the high standard I expected. Nice views over the bay. Rooftop bar is great. So many good food options in walking distance. We eat at 2 Michelin Star restaurants.

I had stayed in Accor properties for the first time. A day before my honeymoon, I had emailed them about a combined bed. I had selected a twin bed during my reservation. They acknowledged my request and made arrangements for my honeymoon, which was very kind of them. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always fresh and varied. I plan to stay here again.
