The hotel is super well located and incredibly well noise proof. Even on New Year’s Eve we were not bothered by the place du capitole celebrations. The staff is very helpful - the only element that could be improved is around lack of safe and microwave or fridge in the rooms.

Rooms ready on our arrival, friendly team welcomed us in French and English. Advance request for twin beds in one room had not been actioned, but sisters were happy to share so not reported! Breakfast busy but fair choice. Useful city map available. Bags stored for us on last day which was helpful. Clean and tidy in rooms and public areas.

Very helpful on arrival, my room (which was crazy small) did not have a desk and I had expected one, the receptionist quickly found me another room which was great and I did not expect it to be so efficient. The room was 114 which is newly refurbished. A few issues: 1. The air conditioning did not work. It was stuck on 'heat' and could not be switch to cool either manually (with the buttons) or automatically (by turning the temperature down). So the room was too warm most of the time. 2. The windows are nearly impossible to close. I assume it's because they are airtight but it took all my strength to close them, a smaller person (<100kg) would not be able to close them once they were open. 3. The mirror on the back of the bathroom door was cracked. Anyway my stay was OK but you asked for feedback and this is my feedback. The receptionist lady said the hotel will try to become 4* and I would say there is a journey for you to arrive there.

It is true that, due to the winter season, the air conditioning is in heating mode throughout the hotel and is not reversible. We therefore generally recommend opening the window to let in fresh air; that is what the housekeeping staff do while cleaning the room. Your comments regarding the windows and the cracked mirror on the bathroom door have also been noted with great attention. These points have been shared with our technical and maintenance teams so that corrective actions can be taken promptly. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, particularly as we continuously work on improving our services and facilities. As you rightly pointed out, striving for a higher level of comfort requires ongoing effort, and comments like yours help us move in the right direction. The hotel is completely correct for the price paid. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really enjoyable The ‘icing on the cake’ are the staff!
