It was OK. Staff were lovely. Great having the pool table. Room a bit tired with stained carpets. Kettle but no black tea bags or milk which was disappointing. Air con not working and room smelt a bit of seared meat, presumably from the kitchen

I alarmed the receptionists about the situation - but they could do anything, other than saying they have called a technical who never showed up

Cher Monsieur S., Nous vous remercions chaleureusement pour votre fidélité depuis de nombreuses années et sommes sincèrement désolés que votre dernier séjour n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Après vérification, votre réservation effectuée via le site ACCOR portait bien sur une chambre de catégorie supérieure. C’est pour cette raison que nous vous avons attribué la chambre n°153, qui appartient à cette catégorie, dispose de toutes les prestations correspondantes et d’un système de chauffage fonctionnel. Nous comprenons toutefois que son style, marqué par des fenêtres basses liées à l’architecture historique du bâtiment, n’ait pas été à votre goût. Par la suite, nous avons pu vous proposer la seule chambre restante : la n°310. Malheureusement, celle-ci a été affectée par un problème technique de chauffage, ce qui a entraîné une température plus faible que souhaitée. Nous regrettons vivement ce dysfonctionnement et le manque de réactivité dans sa résolution. Vos remarques sont très importantes pour nous et nous aideront à améliorer notre suivi technique afin de mieux répondre aux attentes de nos clients. Nous espérons avoir l’occasion de vous accueillir à nouveau dans de meilleures conditions et de vous offrir l’expérience de confort et de qualité que vous attendez de notre hôtel. This seems to be one of the more recently outfitted Novotels and the two rooms I stayed in had excellent beds and spotless walk-in showers. It's in an old, repurposed building in the centre of town and is perfect for all the local amenities but beware that the architecture may affect the size of the room you get, so specify your needs when reserving. The main train station is about a twenty minute walk away and the airport, about 8km. There is no rail or metro link from the airport, therefore a taxi would be required. Breakfast comes with a large selection of bread and cake, therefore more Spanish in style, but hot and healthy options are available too. Service is efficient and helpful. The cost of a taxi from the airport is 40 euro so that's something you might want to factor in when selecting your stay. The restaurant, Le Capoul, attached to the hotel on the ground floor is very good and has a 10% discount for hotel guests.
