This seems to be one of the more recently outfitted Novotels and the two rooms I stayed in had excellent beds and spotless walk-in showers. It's in an old, repurposed building in the centre of town and is perfect for all the local amenities but beware that the architecture may affect the size of the room you get, so specify your needs when reserving. The main train station is about a twenty minute walk away and the airport, about 8km. There is no rail or metro link from the airport, therefore a taxi would be required. Breakfast comes with a large selection of bread and cake, therefore more Spanish in style, but hot and healthy options are available too. Service is efficient and helpful. The cost of a taxi from the airport is 40 euro so that's something you might want to factor in when selecting your stay. The restaurant, Le Capoul, attached to the hotel on the ground floor is very good and has a 10% discount for hotel guests.

Unpleasant, not meeting basic needs

Very bad - my room as when I checked in had no basic amenities. Ie. No tissue paper, no room slippers. The study table (room 114) has no light above it if I have to do work. The fridge is not working. Horrified!

Extremely good location but was disappointed with the room we were given, a room with 2 low windows which were filthy. Asked to change it, at first we were given loads of excuses but we insisted and they eventually changed it. We had booked a superior room and we are silver members.

We asked for an executive room far away from any noises and facing into the courtyard. We were given a room on the 1st floor directly above the the restaurant terraces facing the square. We asked Manon for another room and she gave us another room facing the street with more restaurants and terraces. The 3rd attempt was an interior corner room! which was a lot smaller than the other ones. We booked well in advance and were clear about our needs that wer completely ignored. As a result of this we will be cancelling 2 future bookings for April of next year.
