I spent 3 nights in the hotel (room 323), which is located close to Pierre Baudin congress center. Room was comfortable. My major concern is about room cleanliness and housekeeping in my room. When I arrived at the reception the first day, it was asked me if I agreed to have my room cleaned every other day for ecological remand environmental protection reasons. I answered that I agreed with that. However, when I came back for my third night: housekeeping had not been done in my room: the trash can was full, the bed was not made, the shower and sink had not been cleaned, a bottle of water and coffee pods had not been added on the table… I immediately warned the receptionist of this great inconvenience, but nothing was done. Altogether, I am not satisfied at all regarding housekeeping and cleanliness in this hotel. It is not acceptable for a luxury hotel!

Excellent Central Lcation.

Your hotel and staff were simply excellent and one breakfast waiter stood out for his cheerful welcome every morning of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for this man who is a credit to your company. I am sorry I did not take his name. However, we were horrofied by the rats running around the outside dining area while we had breakfast. iIpointed out to one of the waitresses that the door was open. Other than that, we had a lovely stay at this hotel.

Good choice for conference-goers (not for vacation)

If you're looking at this hotel, you're probably going to a conference nearby. I'll review it from the perspective of a conference hotel. (It would not be my first choice for a vacation. We were here because my son and I tagged along on my husband's conference trip). Location: Excellent. The conference center is right in back. There is a metro stop right out front (Use the Tisseo app to get around and it's pretty easy). Rooms: Pretty standard. Double bed, big chair and table, window overlooking a dull building and roof, shower. All-in-one body/hair wash is provided. There is a teapot and tea and instant coffee provided; no coffee machine in room if that matters to you. If you need fancy coffee I think there is a machine downstairs in a nook by the elevators. There is no iron in the room but you can borrow an iron and board from the reception. There is a large safe (my laptop fit) and a small fridge. Food: There's a bar and restaurant (called Barricot) downstairs. Buffet breakfast is 19 euros per adult if not already included with your room, but nobody ever asked for our room number when we ate there. It's extensive: pancakes, crepes, scrambled eggs, little pans to fry your own eggs the way you like them, espresso machine, selection of teas, tons of fruits, juices, cheeses, etc. We had dinner one night in the restaurant. It was on a special night called "Drunch" where they have a live band and BBQ outside and a buffet. The buffet was very good with cheeses, meats, amazing desserts, etc. As a vegetarian, I still got stuffed. I think it was 29 euros per adult. Nearby food options: There are many, but it's mostly fast food or foreign food. There's a McDonald's right next door (sigh). You'll have to walk a bit if you want a nice French meal and you're not eating in the hotel. There is a mini-mall nearby that has a Carrefour grocery downstairs if you want to pick up a few things to keep in your room. There's also pastries, a salad place, Italian, and hot dogs and a bunch of other things in there. It's closed on Sundays. The Lebanese place across the street (El Dayya) was very tasty; you can eat there (on the street) or takeaway. Right next door to the hotel is a lovely Japanese garden. Across the garden is a gourmet restaurant but we didn't try it. There is a laundromat across the street if you need that. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and patient with our reservation that my husband's travel agent made in the most bizarre way possible. I can also confirm: * The fire alarm works (they tested it twice during our stay). * If you get stuck in the elevator and call for help, indeed the technician will arrive in almost exactly half an hour as promised. Overall, an excellent choice if you are attending a conference; like I said, if it's a vacation, I'd look for something a little closer to the city center with a bit more local charm.
