After checking in, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. I explicitly told them that I cannot eat spicy food, so they recommended the nasi goreng, assuring me it was not spicy. It turned out to be quite spicy anyway. I also requested my egg to be well-done, but it was served undercooked. I couldn't eat most of my meal due to my dietary conditions. Room: Even though I was upgraded to an Executive Room due to my Accor Gold status, the room did not feel like an upgrade at all. It was very small. There was no working desk for business travelers, and it is too cramped for a family. I expected a 5-star hotel to have much better rooms. The amenities were okay, and they gave us a welcome cake—a nice gesture, but it quickly attracted small ants. Breakfast & Service: During breakfast, it took a long time to get a baby chair. Waiting for a single food order took even longer. While the food tasted decent, the variety was disappointing for a 5-star property. Also, be careful when booking: breakfast for two is not automatically included in the room rate, resulting in an unexpected additional charge. I have never experienced this at other Accor properties like Novotel or Pullman. To make matters worse, some staff members were very unfriendly. The server who brought our Pad Thai (which took forever to arrive) said sorry for the delay, but did so with a very rude attitude and gesture. Security & Checkout: My husband had a similar experience with security. When we were checking out at the basement level with a lot of luggage, the security officer weirdly insisted on opening and inspecting all of our bags, without offering any help to handle them.
