Very comfortable hotel 2 minutes away from metro station. Quiet area with all services and facilities ( pharmacy, commercial centre, restaurants, bars, live music, bakeries…). The rooms are well furnished with extra comfy bed and view of the garden. Excellent breakfast.

Sofa was torn, flimsy net curtain, shower curtain, high bath to get in and out of, no bags for sanitary towels, no bottle of water, television very far from bed, no notepad/ pen ....basic

Lack of air—overwhelming heat in the lifts and bedroom corridors

Although the Ibis Styles is still a very nice hotel, to have no air conditioning in either the lifts or the bedroom corridors means I won’t be able to stay there again, unless there are changes. Having the room at the very end of the 6th floor corridor (#611) meant that I was nearly fainting by the time I got to my room. That is not an exaggeration. I am nearly 76 and found myself staggering the last few steps. It was not only unpleasant but nearly dangerous (falling at my age is not a good thing). The room/bathroom were clean, the breakfast was delicious (and the breakfast room helpers outstanding—happy to do anything to make the client have a more enjoyable breakfast experience—they are to be commended), and the air conditioning in the ground floor area around the reception desk, in the breakfast room, and in the bar area was great. This made the shock of getting into the lift, when one was crammed into a small space that was HOT was quite sickening, then the worse shock of exiting the lift to the bedroom corridor… I know that everyone is trying to save energy, which is important—but also important for the health of one’s visitors AND of the chambermaids to be sure that people can breathe properly.
