The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the state of the hotel let it down. Only x2 of the lifts worked and we got locked out of our room twice. The first time was at approx midnight after we had returned after a day out. We were very tired.The maintance person was called and he had change the batteries in the door mechanism. The second time it happened was the morning we were leaving. We were locked out for about 45 mins. This made us late for the activities we had planned that morning. Also, I had my 72 year old mother with us whilst trying to deal with it. The maintence person was very friendly and helpful and it was not his fault. He was busy doing other jobs.

The car park was a nightmare to find, I resent paying €20 for the privilege when already paying for the room itself. The car park is not good if you have a wide car if you like your alloys. The room was basic, the bathroom was in a poor state, the pull out beds for the children were extremely uncomfortable. It was hot in the room, there was a plug in fan which didn’t offer much and was incredibly noisy.

Online checked in in advance, was told we were upgraded to executive room. Room was not ready and was set up for one. We are a family of four, front desk person said they will arrange for the sofa bed to be made, we went out for dinner and said any time they can come set the room. They never did. Had to call the front desk at around 9pm then the staff came to make just the bed, we had to ask for extra towels, pillows etc… you’d think they would have worked that one out for themselves… I’m sure a party of one would have been fine with the slightly dirty and worn room, for us I don’t think a return visit will be any time soon.

Stayed in June 2026 and as soon as I walked in I noticed the temperature in the lobby was warmer than expected. Check in process was normal and went to my room which was extremely warm despite the AC being on. Looks like the AC in the hotel is old and does not operate well on hot days. There was no complimentary water or fan provided to compensate for the warm room. The toilets downstairs are locked and you have to swipe the room pass to get in. Wouldn’t be a problem if the door lock worked. It looks like there is a 50/50 chance of getting into the toilet. Never encountered this setup during the day and I did notice others struggling to get in too. My colleague who was staying at the same time also had a broken shower handle so they couldn’t reduce the water temperature. On checkout, the experience didn’t improve. There were 4 members of staff on the desk and only one customer being checked out. One lady was constantly on the phone and the other two were busy with paperwork. Reluctantly one person checked me out and he encouraged me to drop the key off to the quick checkout box. I had to tell him I needed a receipt at which point he checked me out. Overall the stay was poor. Most staff were lazy and didn’t go out of their way to help. The bar man was friendly and helpful but I was surprised they shut before midnight and turned the tv off during a football World Cup game. I would never stay at this hotel again.
