This hotel has some key features that are intensely appealing for selecting as a weekend getaway; Location on an amazing street in Vieux-Lille, the old centre. Straight onto cobble-stone streets among lovely cafes and restaurants, while still being max 20 min walking from anywhere you want to be. Service at the hotel is top-notch. Super friendly from the moment you arrive until you leave. Private hotel parking is a big benefit. Not cheap, but still worth it. Breakfast is good and it has a nice little bar/cafe area. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower is powerful and soaps provided are lovely. For some feedback (we were in a deluxe double room): The spring on the bathroom door...please for the sake of all, remove this. It is intensely annoying and it slams shut aggressively and loudly! If this catches your bare feet, you will cause some serious damage. Shower-room open layout is highly impractical. Water goes everywhere, including onto the toilet roll, and there's no squeegee or wiper of any kind to use afterwards, so you just have to wait for the pools to evaporate before you can go in without shoes. Shower screen would improve the shower 10x. Side-tables by the beds were fun. The tops were loose so it was a balancing act. I eventually pulled a seat next to the bed to put a glass on
