Just stayed 1 night with relatives, to go to the Xmas market. Hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Hotel had a lovely bar and restaurant. The staff were very polite and helpful as w e only speak a little French.

Myself and three friends booked this hotel a long time ago. When it got closer to our trip away I started looking at recent reviews and I was really starting to worry that I had booked the wrong place. HOWEVER! I couldn’t have been more wrong. We loved this hotel and would not hesitate to come back. We all had our own room. Very spacious. Clean and comfortable. The shower is a bit old fashioned. Not amazing but it did the job. One friend loved that there was a bath. The hotel itself is beautiful. Ok the big Novotel sign outside makes it look cheap but the inside is lovely. I loved the bar area and loved sitting there with a glass of wine waiting for the other to join. Breakfast in the morning was great. Lots of choice and really chilled. Definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. I loved that there were jugs and water you could get in the foyer and take up to your room. Never had that in a hotel before. When checking in we were given free tickets to the big ferris wheel in the square nearby which was very much appreciated. Staff were lovely throughout and both check in and check out were quick and easy. The hotel was 20 minutes walk from The station and the old town is literally a minute away if you turn right outside of the hotel. Overall I cannot fault this hotel. I absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone visiting Lille.

I think it's a very well situated Novotel in Lille. Pro: - Centrally located, well connected to all main parts of the city but at the same time in a quiet street so very calm. - I got a gold member upgrade and a nice selection of drinks in fridge as welcome drinks - Staff was super friendly and kind each time, everything I asked for was taken care for. Any issues if they came, were resolved quickly - The room had ample of space and was clean, sheets were also quite clean - Small gym with some equipments (could be more connections to the pulley), but overall clean, with water cooler, toilet and enough space in gym. - The bar is beautiful part, I took my welcome drinks (these days only wine/beer/soft is offered at all Novotel's in Europe, no cocktails), but I was well received and always felt taken care of. - Front desk staff is super polite and always ready to help with suggestions and things to do. - Price was fantastic for the 2 nights, I spent there. Cons: - The hotel does need renovations(it has been painted a while ago) of walls, layout, carpets, etc but serious renovations can make this place amazing. - Curtains in the room could be better to cover the light coming from outside. - They need more light in the room I stayed in, it was tab bit dark. Overall suggestion they have outdoor space which can be made for children, but its unused or maybe its not part of hotel. But for the value of the place under 100 Euros, this is a fantastic place. It's not wow but it has a charm and you won't be disappointed.

We booked for a family of 3, upon arrival and check in, the extra bed wasn’t made - the lady at reception then came to make the 3rd bed. Handed us some extra towels which we filthy, so had to then change these too. Room is very dated, and generally in need of some upkeep (stained bath/sink, poor tiling, chipboard wallpaper. Not what is expected of Novotel having stayed at a few before, this was disappointing. Good location for city though, but car park is a good 5 min walk away which is something to be aware of if you have luggage to move.
