Fantastically located across the road to Lille Europe Station. The staff is extremely friendly and the facilities are Novotel standard, good as expected to be. I think I got an upgraded room because it was so spacious...it could easily accomodate my family in that room. Complimentary drink was just great as I arrived late and just wanted to have a drink before going to sleep.

I arrived at the hotel to be informed there had been a flood. I was transferred to another hotel locally. I spent one night thee and was able to check in to the Novotel the following day. The staff were amazing. I had no issue with anything but they insisted on making sure everything was perfect. If only every hotel stay could be like this!

Good location .. opposite Gare Lille Europe. The room size is very good. The microwave oven is a welcome addition which is not found in any other hotel room i have stayed in. The breakfast is simple and good. It would be nicer if the window opened properly as it used to do before .. just a 8" opening makes the room feel claustrophobic.. Would be nice to have at least one English movie channel.

Room good size for family of four but very hot even in January. Only enough cups and coffee/tea for two even though there were four in the room. When we requested more we were told no, that's what all the rooms have. They did give us two more cups but refused any more drinks so extra cups were pointless. Luckily we had brought our own hot chocolate sachets so the children could have a warm drink before bed.

When I booked 1 night at the Novotel Gare Lille Europe before my partner and myself returned to the UK, I didn't appreciate what the "Suites" part of the name meant. I thought we were booking in to a hotel with the same standards as an ordinary Novotel or a Mercure, but alas I was wrong. The hotel was OK for a one night stay but I think if was doing the same trip again, I would try one of the other near-by establishments. When we arrived, there was only one person on reception but we had to wait quite a while to be attended to because the receptionist doubled as the barista and the waitress for the bar area, so she was busy fetching, carrying and making coffees while we waited. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of space for our 2 enormous suitcases. The toilet and bathroom are some sort of modular plastic box which has been inserted in to the room...the toilet is about the same size as an airline one and the shower is cramped as well. The room was spotlessly clean and very quiet which I appreciated. Breakfast was very disappointing...it was just a continental affair with factory produced pastries and bad coffee. The breakfast area was cramped and poorly designed for the number of people trying to use it. The hotel seemed to be very popular with families with children. There was just the two of us staying so it was pretty noisy and intense at breakfast. So, now I know what 'Novotel Suites' are, I know they're not for me. The only thing I can compare it to, is a slightly larger version of an Ibis (although I've had much better breakfasts at Ibis in New Zealand). I really wish the Accor website spelt out clearly what the difference is between the hotels...

The hotel is very well located, close to the train station and to the city center. The room was spacious and very well laid out. There is a micro wave, a small fridge and a coffee machine at your disposal in the room which is great if you just want to eat in the room. The bathroom is nice too. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

Room had everything we needed for a family stay (kettle, microwave, fridge, etc). Hotel was clean and comfortable. Parking was extremely expensive - I am surprised Novotel cannot do a deal with the parking lot downstairs.

Everything was fine except for the stinky toilet. There was a very bad smell in the tiny toilet room which looked pretty clean in general.
