We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The hotel is wonderfully located. From the moment we arrived, the gentlemen downstairs at the desk ensured that we were comfortable and even informed us of our free drinks with our membership. They were smiley and respectful and made us feel comfortable which is super important as three female travellers. The location was wonderfully busy on Friday / Saturday evening. It is walking distance from two metro stations. I would stay here again for sure

On the first of five nights we encountered a drainage smell in the corridor outside our room 109. The smell pervaded the room but we opened windows and assumed this was temporary. The second day confirmed this was more than temporary and we noted the housemaid had left our windows wide open. The following morning we complained to the front desk and without hesitation were offered a change of room which we accepted. The disappointing aspect was that this odour problem (which made my wife feel sick) was not unknown to the hotel management (including room staff) and that does not reflect well on the Ibis brand which we have previously trusted.
