I stayed for a week for leisure? My first time in Paris and was expecting petite rooms. Managed to snag an upgrade to the privilege room and early check in- good recognition of my platinum status. The hotel is going through some renovation so doesn’t look very glam at this stage but it didn’t bother me. It just didn’t feel like staying in a hotel since it doesn’t have the luxury feel. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room was big enough I think bigger than what you’d get in standard hotels in Paris. The only downside from my stay was the fact that you had to press the intercom button every time you need to enter the hotel. I would’ve thought they’d be using the swipe card technology by now. I went out for a late night once with friends and came back very late at night. Reception wasn’t manned and I waited for about 20-30mins outside until someone heard the buzzer for me to get in. At that point I was very frustrated as I tried calling the hotel but also no pick up. I hope they change the entry system so that you just need the hotel swipe key to enter rather than someone manually pushing a button to let you in.

great stuff. very good breakfast. unfortunately, we didn't get advised that the main lobby was under renovation.i missed the joy of full experiance of the hotel.

Great location, friendly staff. The room was a bit grubby, and the noise of the renovation due to the noise of the drilling, and the room was vibrating.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Opéra Faubourg Montmartre and was very pleased with the hotel’s excellent location, ideal for exploring Paris and conveniently close to public transportation. The room was comfortable and well maintained, although quite compact. It suited me well as a solo traveler, though it might feel a bit small for two guests. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options. While my overall experience was positive, I do feel that the hotel’s 4-star rating sets expectations for international travelers slightly higher than the actual offering, which is closer to a solid 3-star level in terms of room size and amenities.
