Amazing zurek, but very dissapointing dinner: - the 'kamien kaszubski' platter looked good but had little taste - "local beer" was Zywiec - could not be less local - very dissapointing service: the mains were shipped half way through our starters, I order a medium rare steak. They took the food back to the kitchen. When it arrived later, the steak was well done. No apologies. No acknowledgement. Other than that - no complaints.

I stayed in this hotel and was amazed. This hotel has nice rooms and very clean. You feel welcomed as you enter the hotel door .The staff is so helpful and try to help you with any request you have. The breakfast is the best I had in the hotels I stayed so far .I recomend this hotel if you are planning to visit KRAKOW

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay in this Mercure hotel. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by reception staff. Room was perfect, very clean, comfortable beds and no noise. It was only a 10 minute walk in to the main square and ideally located for some shopping across from a huge shopping mall and main train station. Our only reason for not giving a 10 is that on one night during our stay upon returning from the Square we decided to have 2 glasses of white wine. The male staff member brought us 2 glasses and we paid. It turned out we were charged 238 PLN which is €55 on exchange. Surely the excessive price of this wine could have been made clear to us. There were plenty of cheaper choices available when I went through menu online. This did leave a bad taste as we felt ripped off. But still I would give the hotel a 9 purely because this was the only negative.
