We loved that the hotel was so close to the old town and the price was right. The room was a decent size but was lacking any normal expected amenities like a small fridge or kettle. No way to make coffee or tea in the room. The space in the bathroom was too crammed for two people at the same time. We enjoyed the breakfast quality which was not included but we bought it extra every day anyways. It would be nice if it was included. Parking was also extra but underground space was available. The hotel should do something about their pigeon problem in the garage. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and staff was very courteous and friendly.

I love ibis and have stayed in many across Europe and in South America. I therefore had high expectations. Your staff is great, but the room was substandard, the wall by my bed was dusty (dirty- I took a picture), the room was too warm and the climate control was noisy and didn’t really work- and for me the worst was that outlets were only on one side of the room (which seems strange for a double room with two beds- it made it really uncomfortable to share the room with my friend)

Sadly, my recent stay was very disappointing. Some members of staff were quite rude, and the interactions felt impersonal—almost like speaking to robots. I have stayed at this hotel before, but unfortunately, the standard seems to have declined. I was travelling with a colleague whom I had invited to Kraków, and I felt embarrassed that she was given an worn room with cracked flooring. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the hotel.

While making a reservation on the website I’ve made a remark that I’ll need a day room only from 12 pm till 6 pm only and would appreciate taking this into account. When I arrived to the hotel at 12 pm receptionist told me that they will need to change me 60 pln for early check in otherwise I’ll need to wait till 3 pm check in time. I mentioned that I’ve left a remark during reservation so the hotel had to be aware about my request, but she replied that she couldn’t help me and the only way for me to check in is to pay. She said that they don’t read remarks and I should’ve sent them an email with this special request. I’ve paid early fee, because I had no choice and my booking was non refundable. After this case I believe I would avoid choosing Ibis hotels for my future stays.

Extremely disappointing stay – not the Ibis standard I expected We booked two rooms for four nights, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst Ibis hotel I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in more than 15 Ibis hotels around the world, and I have never experienced anything like this. To start with the positives, the location is excellent. The hotel is very central, right next to Galeria Krakowska and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. Our check-in was also smooth, easy, and friendly – absolutely no issues there. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The hotel and rooms feel extremely outdated. The furniture is old and the rooms clearly need significant renovation and attention. If you simply need somewhere to sleep and do not care much about the surroundings, then perhaps it is acceptable. However, I would not recommend staying here for several days, as the overall environment is simply not pleasant or comfortable. There was also an unpleasant smell in the rooms after they had been cleaned. It did not give the impression of a fresh, welcoming hotel room. Having stayed in many Ibis hotels before, I can honestly say that this did not feel like the standard I normally associate with the brand. We did not try the hotel breakfast, as we chose to eat elsewhere. Another disappointment was that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. When I asked at reception about this, I was told rather bluntly that these facilities were only available for “premium” guests and that I would have to pay more. It was not so much the policy that bothered me, but the attitude and the way it was communicated. A simple, polite explanation would have made a big difference. The next day, I spoke with the manager and explained that I found the receptionist’s attitude rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the manager himself was very polite and pleasant, and I appreciated that. Overall, however, the hotel did not feel welcoming or hospitable. There was very little warmth or customer service, and at times it felt as though the staff simply did not care about the guest experience. Our check-out experience was another example. We left early in the morning and went to reception, where the staff member was eating breakfast. When I asked where I could check out, I was simply told to leave the keys on the desk. That was it. Again, this is not the level of customer service I would expect from an international hotel chain. In conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel, and I certainly would not return – not even in a million years. It is a shame because I generally have good experiences with the Ibis brand, but this hotel seriously needs investment, renovation, and, in my opinion, much better attention to customer service. This is, of course, my personal experience and opinion, but I hope Ibis management takes this feedback seriously and looks into improving the hotel. A well-known hotel chain should provide a much better and more consistent standard than what we experienced here.

Near the main train station in Krakow, very close to a shopping point, 7-8 min walk from city center, Ibis Krakow Stare Miasto was the perfect choise for our holiday. Although the hotel is close to the train tracks, if you close the window there is no noise. I really appreciated the quality of the mattress for a good rest, the water dispenser on each floor and the cleaning in our room. Breakfast was also good for a good start in our everyday journey.
