Spent a long weekend in this ibis styles in Strasbourg. The hotel has a good location (tram stop right outside with direct line to downtown), has underground parking (extra charge), clean rooms and good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only points to improve are the internet (very slow) and the lighting in the bathroom.

Before our stay, I e-mailed my concern regarding the "fishy smell" issue I came across the review which admitedly didn't read before booking this hotel.I never got any reply or acknowledgement to my e-mail. When we checked in,true enough, the "fishy smell" was very strong in the hall area, a little bit less in our room but the "fishy smell" but was really present. However, your senses tend to adjust at some point & luckily did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. Breakfast was really poor, a real strong contrast to our previous stays in Ibis Styles in different parts of France. The hardboiled egg came out of the fridge,so it was really cold to a point of being icy at some parts of the egg, not to mention that the eggyolk is somewhat greyish in colour due to the cold temperature. It only takes 5 mins to boil a big pan of eggs, that i cannot understand why they did not take the effort to serve decent hardboiled eggs which was supposedly the only warm option for breakfast & yet it was ice cold boiled eggs. Serving the food is not so hygienic,no servettes on top of the bread to hold on to while slicing the breads.A lady behind us was coughing & covering her mouth with her hands & afterwhich she went up to slice a piece of bread without washing her hands. Brioche came directly out of the freezer without defrosting it,so it was icy & again we have to slice it with our barehands. We took the effort to use the paper servette to slice the breads we wanted. It's the summer season, so there's an abundance of fresh fruits in season, but there was no choice but an apple. The tables are set too close to each other that there's no room to move without bothering the people sitting at the other tables. The staff does not look too professional, they are not neatly dressed to a point of looking untidy. Underground parking was really dark, the lights work with a sensor but if you don't know where the sensor is located then you will have to walk in the dark until the sensor catches your movement, very unsafe from a security point of view. We always choose Ibis Styles because of the size of their family rooms & the simple & nonsense but good service, however this particular one fell really short of our usual experience with our stay in Ibis Styles hotels. Hope you will seriously improve, it's a pity since you have a good location. Goodluck!

We picked this Ibis Style on our way back home as we did with other in Strasbourg. All the other experiences were good but this one. First we discover that our little dog was not allowed (first time I see this in all Accor Hotels in EU I visited so far) and we were charged 25 euros for it. Maybe I should have checked the hotel policy however being the first time that this happens to me, possibly it is an exception to all the other hotels in the chain? if it is an exception it shall be highlighted much better. Also the ALL app does not ask any longer if a pet is travelling along. When we arrived, late in the evening, there was a strong fish smell in the reception area, not a nice welcome. The cleanness of the hall and corridors was not up to Ibis standard, the room was ok (superior type I picked). At breakfast, the soy milk I put in the cereal was gone bad, it gave me a weird feeling for the quality of everything else. Overall not a good experience.

Good welcome, but disappointing as a diamond club member not offered a nights free parking, fortunately there was free parking on the road. Nice big room and air con worked ok. Bed to small for me, yet I fit in all the other beds in Ibis styles and Ibis hotels. Pillows not comfortable. Breakfast very mediocre and no hot food option apart from toast and half of that was broken.
