Nice hotel but not good restaurant.

Very nice hotel but the three stars are for the Carbonara dinner. $48 for a handful of rubbery pasta and a few clams and one prawn. The barramundi was very good.

Wouldn't repeat the experience

Hotel is a 10 min walk from domestic terminal, up and down travelators but there was no real option to get back to the terminal (with large luggage) as the travellator going back was broken. The signage to the hotel is not great so be prepared to wander lost in the carpark for a while. To get to international was a $20-30 in Uber or Didi for the 2.8km journey. Reception staff at the hotel were really rude. My friend had already checked in but when I arrived staff made it uneccessarily difficult to get a key even thought all information had been provided to the hotel in advance. The attitude ot the staff was also not acceptable for this standard of hotel. The room was nothing special. The curtains didn't close properly and the hand soap dispenser was broken. The frosted glass sliding wall to the bathroom let through light in the night if someome uses the bathroom which was annoying. I found the mattress on the bed too soft. Glad this was just a short overnight stay. If I was forced to stay over night at BNE I would probably try the ibis in the same building rather than come back here. For the transport cost, if you don't have an early flight it's probably better to stay in the city.

A nearly perfect experience, ruined by the pretentious restaurant

The room, the hotel, and the food in the restaurant. Nearly everything is perfect except for the ridiculous dress code of no thongs in the Apron restaurant. We had arrived off an international flight, booked a night in the Pullman and were looking forward to eating in the Apron restaurant. However when requesting a table we were told of the dress code of no thongs allowed. So we had to go back to our room for my partner to rummage through her packaged suitcase and find a pair of sneakers only to be readmitted. We were then admitted whilst restaurant staff glared at my partners shoes to confirm they're allowed. The food was wonderful as were the staff, but this level of pretentious from front of house staff isn't required, and I think a little perspective is needed. It's Brisbane airport not Monte Carlo. People coming off an international flight don't need bothering about appropriate footwear ............. at an airport hotel. Especially where the prices on the menu are at the higher end. What was more disappointing is when leaving the restaurant we noticed a woman, with thongs, eating in the restaurant. So it appears the rule isn't rigidly or uniformly enforced. Do yourselves a favour and when eating at the Apron restaurant remember to pack shoes, again a ridiculous requirement for an airport hotel, but here were are.

Used to be a good place to stay - now average 3 star hotel

I have enjoyed staying at Pullman Brisbane airport - staying in Executive rooms with Lounge access - happy to pay the extra for great service and amenities. Now it is questionable - the Lounge is a really poor experience - limited to two drinks and very little food. The check in experience is poor, parking is now a nightmare, transport during holidays via AirTrain is hit and miss, and just general this is now more a 3 star than a 5 star facility.
