Hello. I am writing this review because I have never received a response from the Mercure Blankenberge hotel despite sending two emails to the establishment. It is rare that I feel compelled to write a complaint letter, but in this case, it seems necessary. I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with the breakfast I had at the Mercure Blankenberge hotel in Belgium this Wednesday, May 13th, around 7:30 am. As a preliminary note, I would like to point out that it cost €27 per person: - Uncooked, industrial white bread (white baguettes) - Plastic-like yogurt, the kind you find at the corner store. - Undrinkable orange juice, as if diluted with water. - Tasteless apple juice. - Black trays, like those found in a kebab shop. - There were three of us in the dining room, yet the woman struggled to replenish the buffet. (No scrambled eggs, empty cutlery tray, etc.). - Low-quality tea selection, like Lipton. Am I mistaken, or is this supposed to be a 4-star hotel? - Only one of the two coffee machines was working. Why? - The buffet offered very little choice for a 4-star hotel. … I couldn't share my feedback when I left the hotel because there was no one at reception (around 10:30 am). The staff were on their coffee break in the breakfast room, probably thinking about how to further degrade the quality of the breakfast offering. Perhaps this hotel is trying to cut corners on quality; in any case, I am very dissatisfied! Perhaps the presence of a group of children eating in the breakfast room around 6:00 pm on May 12, 2026, disrupted the hotel's operations.

Regarding your emails, we sincerely regret that you did not receive a response. This is not the experience we want for our guests, and we will investigate what happened in our communication process. Your feedback is valuable and will be used to address the points you have raised with the relevant departments. We are sorry that your stay was impacted in this way and hope that we may have the opportunity in the future to provide you with a significantly improved experience.
