Kamilla made us feel right at home with my Accor Member early check in. She is a great ambassador for the brand. We favoured this Ibis as opposed to the one in the centre because of our rail travel and because the city hotel was noticeably more expensive. (On reflection, we were glad of the 20 minute walk back each night as we would otherwise have had that inevitable last beer or two if we'd been staying centrally. (The weather was exceptionally good during our stay. This walk would not be ideal in the rain !) Pretty much all city buses run back to the railway station. There are several generic type food outlets close to the hotel but the nextdoor Carrefour closes rather early as does the local bar Jean Max* so no real "last drink" options. The closest bar we found was called De Stoepa. (*Possibly closed early because March is low season.) There are several attractive strolls to and from the old town particularly throught the Minnewaterpark.

Before I went to sleep on my last night, I noticed a bug. I killed it and moved on. However the next morning I noticed several more, and realised they were silverfish. I took photos and video of the incident. I informed the front desk upon checkout, who just apologised, but nothing has been done. Would not stay again.

Well located and staff on Reception were lovely. However, our room was not very clean. Shower had clearly not been cleaned and needed cleaning before we used it. Floor was also very dusty.
