We've stayed at this Ibis (& the Novotel) many, many times but this was first since refurbishment. Disappointed that it's lost its bar & restaurant. Also disappointed that, although it has many TV channels, none are British!

Staff on reception were good but the hotel which I have used for many years with no issues has been refitted and rebranded under the Ibis Styles name. All the good features have been removed such as the very nice 24hr bar and the restaurant. Bathroom fittings, especially the basin which was much too small and the shower which is impossible to use without getting water all over the floor ( and no, its not a wetroom ) are awful. It's all form over function and the form isn't very nice either unless you're a fan of dark green walls. I will not be using an Ibis Styles Hotel again.

I was disappointed with this room. We were given a basement room, and it was very cold on the first day because the heating didn’t work effectively. There was also a lot of disturbing noise from the corridor outside, which made it hard to relax and sleep. The lighting was poor—there was no ceiling light—so the room felt dark. On top of that, housekeeping removed half of our towels during cleaning.

Recently refurbished, guests at this hotel benefit from being able to use breakfast, restaurant and bar facilities in the adjacent Novotel. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff - a good value stay in a convenient location. Only one minor downside - the room lighting wasn't well designed.
