The Hotel is situated very near the centre of Brugge, the Ibis would appear to be getting ready for a refurbishment which the Novotel opposite has/is currently undergoing. All of the transactions room keys breakfast etc were in the Novotel. My room was functional and clean. I have stayed with Ibis before so I know what to expect.

Very well located, good breakfast as usual in Ibis, good bedding but the rooms need to be restaured. Mold on the wall in bathroom, old paint on the wall, the hotel seems old.

uncomfortable rooms - mosquitos, no air con very warm and no kettle provided in room

Regarding the room temperature, our hotel is equipped with a centralized climate control system. While guests can adjust the in-room temperature to some extent, we understand this may not always meet individual preferences. We also appreciate your comment about in-room kettles as we constantly review our amenities to better serve our guests' needs. Concerning the mosquitos, we recognize this can be an issue, particularly due to our proximity to Bruges' canals. The still water attracts these insects, especially during warmer periods. We do offer mosquito repellent devices in the rooms and at reception, which we encourage guests to use. We're sorry if this wasn't communicated effectively during your stay. Your feedback is valuable and will help us improve our services for future guests. We hope you'll consider giving us the opportunity to provide you with a more satisfactory stay in the future. Rooms need renovating.

Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. Concerning the fire alarm incident, we want to clarify that the alarm was certainly not turned off; otherwise, the general alarm would not have sounded. One of our receptionists responded immediately, going directly to the affected location to investigate and address the situation. Our staff follows strict protocols in these situations and we will continue to maintain rigorous safety standards to ensure guest safety. Moreover, the presence of mosquitoes in the rooms is a concern we're addressing. The still water in Bruges' canals can attract these insects, especially during warmer periods. We have mosquito repellent devices available in the rooms and at reception and are exploring additional measures to mitigate this issue. We're sorry to hear about the condition and cleanliness of the rooms. Our housekeeping team strives to maintain high standards, and we will use your feedback to improve our processes.
