Quick check in process. But no water bottles

Our flight home was canceled just as we got to the Rio Airport. United assigned us to this hotel. Upon arrival, everyone was gracious & welcoming. The food was definitely much better than we could have imagined. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was there was no hot water when we showered. We visited the pool area. It was clean and relaxing. Should we visit Rio, this hotel would be at the top of our list.

Good location and comfortable bed with nice breakfast. Both check-in and check-out experiences needs significant improvement on the timeliness and throughput.

My floor was flooded after the shower. I tried to call front desk but do know how to dial. I went down and talked the same issue during 3 hours...Eventually my room was changed but they said they will wait until tomorrow address the flood. The water would certainly damage the wood floor..

Stayed for one night recently in room 1660. Room needs attention. Several light fittings and a towel rail are loose in the room. Signs of dampness on the bathroom door frame. Water pressure in the shower was not good. Shower mixer did not work well, needs changing. Food was good and staff are good.

too much visitors and reception too ocupate , waiting too long for key, key was two times not working, taking elevator few times to solve problem to enter apt.

I spent a long time adjusting the shower tap to get a good temperature, but even after finding a warm setting, the water temperature fluctuated wildly without me touching the tap; I spent 10 minutes showering without adjusting the tap, and the water kept switching between hot and cold on its own. Beside this bad service, I was alone, already paid online and the guy spend 20minutes to give the room key. And I ask for a bottle opener, and the guy from service complain to me, to open the bottle on the furniture

A Comfortable Stay with Some Room for Improvement This wasn't my first stay at this hotel, so my opinion is based on several visits rather than a single experience. Overall, I have always been treated fairly and have generally enjoyed staying here. The hotel's location by the harbor in RDJ is undoubtedly one of its strongest points. Although I personally prefer quieter surroundings, I understand why many travelers enjoy this area. Considering both the location and the facilities, I believe the hotel offers reasonable value for money. Check-in was efficient and polite, although I felt the welcome could have been a little more genuine. One thing I noticed repeatedly was that there were often several employees behind the reception desk, yet whenever a few guests needed assistance at the same time, the waiting time could become unexpectedly long. Better organization at the front desk would certainly improve the overall guest experience. On one occasion I asked whether an extra bed could be placed in my suite. From what I could see, there was more than enough room, but I was informed that it simply wasn't possible. As a Platinum D6 member, and Accor Shareholder Club Member I had expected a little more flexibility when making what seemed to be a fairly straightforward request. Another thing that left me puzzled was the Nespresso coffee machine provided in the room. At first it looked like a nice premium touch, but unfortunately there were no compatible coffee capsules available anywhere in the hotel. As a result, the machine served little practical purpose. It may seem like a small issue, but details like this make a difference. The biggest inconvenience during my stay was the Wi-Fi. For almost my entire visit the connection was unreliable or simply didn't work. No way to stream anything. The remote control of the TV was missing totally. Unheard of! I reported the problem several times, but it wasn't properly resolved until my final day. In today's world, dependable internet access is one of the basic services guests expect from any hotel. The property itself is beginning to show its age. While everything was generally clean and functional, a refurbishment in some areas would certainly enhance the guest experience. Given the room rates, a refresh would be well justified. Despite these criticisms, there were several members of staff who genuinely stood out and deserve recognition. A special thank you goes to Jangao from the breakfast team. Every morning he greeted guests with a smile, remained cheerful, attentive and genuinely seemed to enjoy making people feel welcome. Employees like him create the kind of atmosphere guests remember. I would also like to acknowledge Christieni from the administration. She handled my requests professionally, took the time to listen, and always did everything she could to help. Even when solutions were not immediately available, it was obvious that she genuinely cared. At reception, Diego deserves special mention as well. He was without question the friendliest, most approachable and most professional receptionist I met during my stays. On the other hand, I do believe that some of the other reception staff members (the girls) could improve their interaction with guests by being a little warmer, more welcoming and showing a bit more enthusiasm. There were also moments when the hotel became rather noisy, although this was mainly caused by the behavior of certain guests rather than by the hotel itself. Naturally, there is only so much management can do about that. Overall, I had another enjoyable stay. The hotel offers a very good location and fair value for the price, even if there are several areas where improvements would make a noticeable difference. Based on my experience, I would rate it somewhere between 3.5 and 7 stars out of 10 . I only left it at 7 because some of the staff members actively tried to make a difference. Most of the female members at the reception desk were disappointingly not even interested in showing any effort, they were clearly absolutely unhappy with their jobs.

Boa

able to log in but no internet. need to polish on this service

comfortable room, good view, hotel nearby seem pretty weird

First of all, the email sent to me for feedback is addressed to my husband instead of myself. It was cleared to me that our names and email address were mixed up. I did the check in online for a ‘seamless’ arrival but it was anything seamless; it took 15 minutes for the whole check in process to be completed. We were told that we could get dinner via the 24 hours room service as it was already almost 10PM, but all that was available was snacks. All good with the room as per Novotel standard. However, only 1 cup was provided in the room for 2 persons. Check out again took around 15 mins as I was waiting for pay for the 2 water we had taken from the minibar. At the lobby bar, we ordered a Americano and a Cuppuccino but the Cuppuccino turned out to be somewhat hot chocolate. In general, the service is slow from check in to check out to getting a coffee. While the hotel staff are generally polite, they can do a bit with better training for efficiency. This was really disappointing from a Novotel standard.

Stayed for 3 nights as a prelude to a cruise . Everyone at the hotel were very helpful , and could not do enough to make our stay great . Especial thanks to Diogan Neves who was very friendly , helpful , and a credit to his profession . As a representative of Novotel hotels he went above and beyond to make our stay the best .

ok

Rude front desk, didn't tell me about a 15 percent sir charge for paying in Cdn, gave me a handicap room, over powering air freshener made me gag, didn't want to go back to front desk and deal with rudeness, room was musty, hence the attempt to cover it up with air freshener, shower was having water drain in it from other rooms, shower stunk, sharp dangerous metal strip sticking up in shower, had a shower, bathroom floor completely flooded, dispensers in shower didn't work, bathroom door handles loose and wobbly, door didn't slide freely, bed had no mattress protector, sheet just thrown on, didn't tuck it in, bed side light didn't work or switch by door, clothes cupboard had some strange urine odor, roof top pool looked dirty, no water in hot tub, neighbourhood felt unsafe. Restaurant servers were helpful and friendly.

I've had a wondefull stay, with great food and services.

Dinner buffet was awful. Not clean at all. Dirty Bedroom with blinking and burned out lamps, hot water wasn’t working, On the other side, the breakfast buffet was awesome but I could see that there was some Accor visits there.

The check in staff was horrible, took hours to get us the rooms, treated us like dirt. Rooms were a mess. Nothing was right with the hotel.
