We stayed at the hotel for a wedding and overall had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, our experience at breakfast was very disappointing. Breakfast was served until 10:00 am, and we arrived at 9:50 am, having paid €15 per person. At reception, we were asked if we could finish by 10:00, and we agreed, explaining that we would serve ourselves quickly and would not return to the buffet after 10:00 so the staff could begin clearing it. The receptionist confirmed that this was fine. However, at around 9:54 am, while I was still serving myself, the breakfast staff began clearing and removing items from the buffet, despite clearly seeing that I was still there and it was not yet 10:00. I found this quite disappointing, but chose not to make an issue of it. What felt even more uncomfortable was that as soon as we sat down at 9:55 am with our food, a staff member approached us and told us we had to finish by 10:00 am. I asked if she expected us to eat everything within four or five minutes, and she confirmed that breakfast finished at 10:00. I explained that I cannot eat that fast and that I did not think we were bothering anyone by sitting in a corner table quietly finishing our food. There was no one else seated in the breakfast area at that time, and we assured her we would not return to the buffet and would leave shortly after finishing. However, it was clear that we were not welcome to stay even a few extra minutes to eat comfortably. Despite this, the other breakfast staff did not say anything and simply continued cleaning and clearing the buffet while looking in our direction, clearly waiting for us to leave. The atmosphere felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. To avoid further awkwardness, we offered to take a tray and eat in our room (on the third floor), and she simply said “fine” and walked away. The situation felt unnecessarily rushed and unwelcoming. I work for Accor Hotels myself, and I have never experienced this level of inflexibility or lack of hospitality elsewhere. Because of this experience, I chose not to have breakfast at the hotel the following morning, and unfortunately, it has made me reconsider staying here again. On a positive note, the rest of the staff were polite( reception), some more welcoming than others. The room itself was comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay. The hotel is suitable for one night; however, it is quite far from the city centre. Taxis are expensive, and public transport options become limited after 8 pm, which makes travelling into the centre inconvenient.

The hotel is too hot! The lobby and breakfast area must have had 28°C. The room had 27°C. The only way to get the temperature down was to keep the window open the whole night but then you have the road noise in the room. I complained but the Ibis team was unable to fix it. The whole building was massively overheated.

Please do something with the wi-fi, it was really frustrating as it didn't work at all. Otherwise the location requires a car. But on the other hand a great location when going to the lakes.
