I’m disappointed with the hotel staff, it ruined the overall impression, which otherwise would have been very good. At check-in I was told that breakfast was not included. That wasn’t true and I showed it in my reservation, and I was told: “That’s just an option; it doesn’t mean you have breakfast included.” No surprise, the staff member wasn’t pleasant. He even seemed annoyed. The next day everything was sorted out after the front desk checked again, surprise. Later that afternoon we asked for a second blanket because we didn’t want to fight over one. When we came back late at night, there was no blanket in the room. Around midnight the receptionist brought one, but without any bedding. When we asked for duvet covers, we were given a bedsheet?! And it went on like that over and over… until the third day, when one receptionist finally understood what we needed and the blanket was properly made up. The restaurant service was extremely fast, so fast that before I could even finish placing my order, the waiter was already running off.

Regarding your breakfast reservation: We have investigated what happened and discovered a temporary data synchronization error between our booking system and the front desk. On our side, the reservation initially appeared without breakfast; however, after a manual audit, we confirmed your booking was correct. We apologize for the initial confusion and the dismissive attitude you encountered—this is certainly not the "welcome" we aim to provide. Regarding the room amenities, we have addressed this directly with our housekeeping and night teams to ensure that follow-up is seamless and that our staff understands how to provide full bedding, even late at night. We appreciate your patience while we worked to get things right. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for the "very good" experience you initially expected. Very unfortunately my stay in Hotel was very average . First of all nobody bother to recognize me that I am Diamond member od Accor Life limitles membership .However the worst part was my departure from Hotel . Because my departure for early in the morning and local bus to Metro station in Cologne North is starting only 7 55 am I have to order taxi to get to metro station . Trip to metro station from Hotel is about only 10 minutes , I have order taxi to Metro station and before ordering taxi I have asked staff how much it will cost me to pay for the taxi for this short trip . The lady promised to check and come back to me that taxi to metro station will cost 15 Euro , so I have conform that for this money I would like to order taxi to metro station for 6,15 am . Next morning I was waiting fin the lobby and man come and said he come that he is taxi service to drive me to Metro station . There was no sign on the car that it is taxi so I believe that maybe this is private person to make some money to drive me to Matro station . When we arrive I have try to pay 15 Euro which I have prepared to pay and he told me that cost for this trip 10 minutes is Euro 60,- I have told him that lady in hotel told me and confirmed that cost will be Euro 15,-he told me that he does not understand English , I asked him is he driving for Hotel Mercury he to me he do not understand english and writen for me recit for Euro 60 for trip .In this moment I have not other option I need to travel to Milano Centrale then to Malpensa Airport so I have to pay money Lucky I have credit cart so I can pay by my credit car , It looks to me that either somebody in the hotel have some PRIVATE COMNNECTION WITH THIS DRIVER it was normal car no sight of TAXI or any OTHER markings it looks like normal private car . I feel cheated because I know that in Milan I have been visit many time taxi to Malpensa ariport cost only Euro 90 per trip and when I have travell with my friends in the past 4 people we have booked taxi and pay Euro 90 for trip to Malpensa .I do not know how hotel staff can infor me that cost of taxi is Euro 15 ,- to Metro station and then order private car which out advising me and forse me to pay Euro 60,00 for 10 minute trip !!!!! I call this sort of service cheating . I will definitely do not come to this Mercury hotel again !!!!

However, as we are currently at 100% capacity due to the Olympic Games, we were unfortunately unable to offer a room upgrade on this occasion. We always encourage our guests to speak with us directly during their stay so we can resolve any doubts in real-time and avoid lack of information's which brings to non correct conclusion, as in your case. We got an upgrade to a refurbished room. But we found the room very standard, a bit like an Ibis-hotel room, thus no upgrade at all. Being an Accor member for may many years we often get in other Accor-hotels a real upgrade to a privilege room and also a special attention in the room, so we were a bit disappointed. Also because it was the 4th time we booked a room in this hotel. The location is very well just outside Milano and there is a free parking, making this hotel very convenient for us.

Dear, We are sorry on hearing that you didn't appreciated the room upgrade we did for you and most of all considering it like an Ibis hotel room. There's nothing similar with our rooms and Ibis hotel rooms, are both different concept and design. Upgrade is not mandatory, is based on availability and we gave you one of our renovated rooms which is a Premier room. Coming back at our hotel once in year, you must have noticed the difference of our rooms from 2022 till today plus you have been in 5 different floors and different room types and all those rooms are not same as the one you had this time. Regarding the check-In online, this function is not available for our hotel. Check-In online that you completed is not a proper check-in since you filled only the nationality.
