Hotel was fine, rooms clean, well maintained & facilities good. Shuttlebus set up not good, and badly organised via reception. Can’t pre-book, have to call on arrival. This is OK, but: 1. on arrival, Spent 10 minutes waiting for phone to be answered, had to give up and get taxi, otherwise would have arrived after restaurant in adjacent Novotel closed. 2. Booked again next morning for return to airport, despite were downstairs waiting 3-4 mins early, after 5 minute wait in reception, was told Shuttlebus already left, then had to wait for a taxi. Both issues were well remediated on 2nd visit a week later, on a 2nd booking, after a 3rd issue with Shuttlebus ….. In hotel advertisement, does not make it clear it is a €25 cash charge … doesn’t enable good planning of cash. As a regular Ibis Customer around Europe (with an account), the Shuttlebus organisation was a big let down.

We had two rooms - one for us and one for our kids. We checked in to Room 360 and within an hour we were bitten by something. We reported to front desk and got moved to Room 352. After a quick review of the bed, we realised there were bed bugs. Filmed and shown to the front office and left. I would not expect this from an Accor hotel. I have not checked if we have been refunded yet and wondering what actions have been taken so that the infestation has been remedied.

RenatoCarneiro Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

A really good surprise that I had. I’ve arrived around 9 am and this is so important to me. They had a room and let me in with no charge. Usually hotels just let us check in after 2pm or paying an extra fee. Also I got surprised by the bed. Very good quality. I had a very good sleep. Also a good think is the fitness center that I could use for a quick exercise. The locations is very residential. There are no options to eat around. As their bar was not working in the evening, I went to Novotel. Ibis guests can have a discount, just have to ask the reception. You can order delivery too , in case you have a sim card to register your account. Breakfast is worthy. They have some varieties of breads, eggs , pancakes, turkey, ham and cheese for 10 euros. Transfers are not free as I have thought when I read the reviews. It’s charged 20 euros and it’s up a request. I would say the price is the same as taxi driver does. I would definitely stay again in Ibis Milano.

Do yourself a favour and don’t bother. The reason I booked the hotel was because it clearly states there is a shuttle bus running from 5am until midnight and reviews have stated it’s 4euros, as have management answers to questions and answers from travellers across a host of sites. I arrived at 10.15 and had to call the hotel to find out where the shuttle bus goes from (it’s gate 10 at arrivals should you find yourself needing to know) I called at 22.35 and eventually at 23.45 myself and another couple who had also had to keep calling the hotel found ourselves in a black mini van. On arrival at the hotel we were all charged 20 euros each - so a nice cash in hand operation they have going there. You can pay by card but there was some tutting about that. It would have cost 25 euros to just jump straight in a taxi and not wait nearly an hour. I was then informed there was no space at 5am when I needed to leave but I could get on the 5.30, which was a bit late for me but I felt I had no option but to agree. Again, this would be 20 euros which flies in the face of the whole 4 euro thing. I got an Uber which was 21.74 for a new Audi A5 with driver in shirt and tie at the time I wanted. On checkin I was told there were no refreshments in the room (fine- I didn’t pay for that) but that the bar would be closing soon. I put my bag in my room and came straight down to be told the bar was closed but there was a vending machine. If I was you I’d do myself a favour and book the Moxy which is a similar price range when you consider the 40 euros to the airport on the shuttle. There is a free shuttle to the Moxy that is the bus that goes to Terminal 2 and you can get that outside the train station part of the airport.

We are aware of the inconvenience linked to the cost of the shuttle service, the price you indicate probably refers to old reviews, on our website it is clearly specified that the shuttle service costs € 20 per room. Unfortunately we are able to count on a free service managed by the airport company and connecting the two airport terminals, we have to use private companies that unfortunately apply very high rates due to the enormous increase in fuel. If you give us the opportunity to regain your trust, I guarantee that we will do our best to offer you the quality and service already appreciated by so many of our guests.
