No heating, bad breakfast; well located but overall poor experience

Friendly staff and a reasonably priced room, but major issues with heating, hygiene, and food quality make this hotel a poor choice, especially in winter. Breakfast is subpar and not worth pre-booking. Heating: There was no proper heating in the rooms, except during the night. It was unbearably cold, and the only warm place was the reception area. The rooms have only AC, not heating, which makes them uncomfortable during winter days. Breakfast: Very poor quality. Most food options were sold out by 9 a.m., even though breakfast is supposed to run until 10. I only managed to eat a chocolate croissant (available one day at 9, when I got there) and couldn’t stomach the rest. The water used in the restaurant tastes and smells bad, which even ruined the omelette. They offer only black and green tea, no other options. Amenities: The room lacked basic essentials like glasses, tea, water, shower gel, and shampoo. Only an all-purpose soap was provided. The hairdryer was dusty, overheated quickly, and smelled like burning. Clean towels in the bathroom also had an unpleasant smell. Customer Service: While the staff were friendly and smiley, my request to cancel the second and third days of my booking (due to the inedible food and overall discomfort) was denied. Room: The room was acceptable for the price, but it’s unsuitable for winter stays due to the lack of heating.

Perfect choice for short weekend family city break. Good location, both for the city center and main central train station. A lot of nice and cosy Italian restaurants within 200-300 m walking. Friendly and agile staff.

Although the restaurant had its menu displayed it was closed. My wife had her breakfast plate on our first morning taken away before she had finished. We had a ‘breakfast to go’ on our second morning (1 vegetarian) which included in one bag - 2 magdalenas, 1 galette de riso, a pack of 2 panini which were so dry that they were inedible, 1 apple, 1 water and 1 apricot juice. The second bag also contained the apple, water and apricot juice but in addition only 2 slices of frutta de bosca tart. This was very disappointing and we do not believe it provided value for money for the price we paid for breakfast.

good place in general: the rooms are clean and the hall is very confortable to be relaxing or working. Sometimes, I've found coffee machine and bathrobe but, for this time I didn't. Globally, it's a good hotel and I'll come back certainly.
