To be honest the hotel is easy access to many places like lourve is 16 mins a walk and straight down no need to navigate thru hell. Going to Lafayette is about 15 mins walk also. The metro is a 5 mins walk. Macdonalds is a stone throw away and so is 5 Guys. Down side is the room size

We tried this hotel in Paris for the first time. The rooms are compact in size as all the hotels in Paris. However the room was well organized and the bathroom had a good proper shower with no bath which we highly appreciated. Rooms are quiet and wifi worked well. Othervise not many services like gym nor the club lounge. Convenient location those who plan to visit the big department houses or the Opera. A bit far aways by foot from the Seine.

Overall the experience was positive, but there were things that could be improved.Because the Mercure sign is high up and the entrance recessed the taxi driver had some difficulty in finding the hotel. The plug in the sink in my room (218) was stuck. Although it was fixed I was frightened to use it in case it stuck again. My friend in room 215 had the same issue. On 2 occasions we spoke to Reception in the morning to have something fixed, which had not been done when we got back to the hotel. I asked for a clean shower mat in the morning, and when I got back to the hotel at 8 pm this had still not been provided. I asked Reception again, and one was finally delivered at 9.55. I could hear a lot of rumbling at night, which I suspect was the lift. On the plus side, all your staff were excellent, I was impressed by the breakfast choices, I liked being in the small area where rooms 215 and 218 were, and the hotel is in a good location.

The hotel is well located, clean, the building is quite old, the elevator small and slow but always can use the stairs. The breakfast was decent with few options, the staff was nice and helpfull.
